Today's "What Died Today"

I'm having too many topics to discuss in one post so I'm spreading it out a little. So here is where the "What Died Today" sites I found go.



Power Tower - A hardware store website with a highly unfortunate name. They also had some wheeling and dealing behind the scenes trying to sell there own custom made gadgets along with the rest. They were very well made and looked pretty cool but without a seller's license their site had to be shut down for legal reasons. They got off pretty light by having to fork out the money and pay compensation. Nobody was harmed and now another business has snapped them up and they are working in the design team of a power tool company, they wont say which. Maybe they should have gone on Dragons Den instead of trying to flog their merchandise as leading brands.

Forgot to post this yesterday but the only other I looked at was...

Carface - A website dedicated the 'face' of a car i.e. the front bit with the grill and headlights. There's an interesting in depth article about how the facial expression of a car influences certain types of people to buy it e.g. posh cars often have a snooty face and sports cars often have an excited face. There's also a personality test you can do to see what car you'll like the look of. And there's a little comic strip about cars using photoshopped images of cars. It's a little different and good if you're looking for a light-hearted website about cars where the specs are not what makes them important. 1 prob, the members are almost entirely female for some odd reason so don't expect male friends.
