First Update...pretty much ever if you only use the big G

What Died Today and The Burn

One of the many subs of Dooms I have been exploring today is one called "What Died Today". It's a site dedicated to what fell from the rolling roster tree and will most likely land in Doomsday's next flit spree of unwanted causes. For those who have problems with proper English what I said was some of the sites that don't have enough popularity to appear in Google searches even the relatively obscure ones end up on a site called "What Died Today", which is a sub-domain of the site I visit called Doomsday. Doomsday's admins and some frequent members are likely to recruit the sites listed on "What Died Today" as new sub-domains for Doomsday.

So far we have...

Teapot of Imornal Glory - A spoof of a site called "Teapot of Abnormal Glory", which is a site dedicated the strange and unusual 3D models and animations out there on the net.

Donut's Explode - A site about cleverly cut videos to induce humor. Apparently the name stems from a cut video on Youtube where one of the sketches is from Toy Story and Woody says "Donut's Explode!" apparently and then there is a quick flash of them being blown up whilst strapped to a donut.

Do Not Wonk - A site dedicated to the "Do Not Want" style funny subtitled pictures on 4chan. The name stems from "Do Not Want" and "Do Not Wank" combined.

Wysinwyg - A site dedicated to tricks of wording and optical illusions with the general idea of "What You See Is Not What You Get".

Lucky Dogg - A kind of lucky dip search engine. You type what you are looking for and instead of the results being displayed with the most popular first, the results are in random order. Simple really.

Hairinit - A site dedicated to the fundamentally crazy of the world's population. Lateral thinkers disband.

...

OK so there's a thing on Dooms known as the Burn, which may possibly soon be called the Swarm thanks to Ben (the guy that owns Dooms) going on one of his creative drug trips again. Anyway I'm digressing. The point is that every week on Friday and to a lesser extent throughout the weekend, the members of Dooms post all the useful links that they have found throughout the week for everyone to visit. They go into a fucking huge list and into a big database thing so they can be added to a search engine whatsit. This search engine forms the main part of Dooms with ungodly amounts of links for people to follow.

Now I am one of the major contributors to this thing posting a minimum of 25 and a max of 5000 links in a session. The reason being that I often take a glance at a site, fav it and move on. Now you see, they are added using a handy device that scans your history and the site stores them with some fancy formatting so you can't just copy-paste. Rather than try to list the sites manually (Dear god!) I'm going to post only a few as a sort of highlights of this weeks events. I'll also post a few of my favs if I remember.

OK so here goes...

Well that's all for now folks.

Sorry for the lack of titles and the long wait. I'm still organizing myself around here. I'll post more later on. BTW, I've been known to be pretty strict on what I class as adult so it's worth having a peek at the bottom half you're not easily offended.
