Something has happened in my home country of England. Riots have broken out in London. So I am going to write a blog about it.

For a start the English are very testy people. The English are very good at riots. By that I mean they are very good at moving in mass and doing lots of damage. The problem is that unlike the Taliban or any kind of terrorist organisation, which are highly efficient and organised, the Brits are kinda more of a rabble. They don't really care what they damage or why, they just like to smash stuff for the fun of it.

In a way that makes them more dangerous because there is no rhyme or reason most of the time and even the slightest thing can get huge numbers of people into a rage and start randomly lashing out against anyone or anything that happens to be in their path.

The good thing is that there is no organisation so they don't coordinate attacks or even put any effort into any kind of cause.

The last time there was a riot the people were united for a cause and so many riots broke out for a long time.

This time however it was just that there were a lot of people in one place because of the court case and once they got pissed off about the outcome they just wanted to smash something to make them feel better.

They were all hyped by the event and it went too far.

I don't see another riot braking out any time soon but it is possible that someone might start organising these people and that might lead to a huge problem.

The British people aren't that organised but they once were and that's it happened before.

They have the potential to be very dangerous and organised but just yet they are just flailing.

The problem is that this could happen again and maybe in a week or so because the people are still very testy and tense and all it would take is for a large group of people to group together for a common cause (any cause) and you've got a riot on your hands.

But how can you stop people from protesting or simply hanging around in groups.

I fear the anger will lead people just to keep doing it over and over for no reason. Just because use British love a good riot.

It's not about race, religion, common good, anti-authority, etc. It's just misplaced rage.

From what I've heard the friends of the civilian involved in the court case came to the door to ask what was happening because the newspapers had already reported it before the police had fully investigated it.

The police then kept stalling for several hours which lead to a rather large crowd of people gathering outside the court house.

When the numbers of people grew into a large enough amount, someone realised that the police were distracted and took their opportunity to commit a crime beyond the police's access.

When the police from elsewhere turned up to sort them out, the crowd thought that the police were trying to move them on and a fight broke out.

Then everything went messed up.

I think that it has sparked something though and now there are anti-imigrant, racist, religious hatred, anti-authority, etc. groups that will meet up for a good fight now.

now that it has started, anyone will use this to cause more riots for their own purpose.

police need to play this fight politically. If they use force, the rioters will use force. Instead you should make them see reason and bargain with them. That's how you'll solve this.

Kung Fu Panda 2 (plus Kung Fu Panda 1)

Okay. A while back I went to see Kung Fu Panda (the first one) yano, when it came out. Personally I'm a fan of Jack Black and so i like to see everything he makes. That does not however mean I am going to give either movie a great shining review based on that. I will judge the movies on their quality and not who's in it.

You can't really talk about KFP2 without giving at least a reference to the first movie and since I haven't officially reviewed that movie I think i should give it a kinda review in here along with the full review of it's sequel.

Kung Fu Panda is great for anyone who is a fan of Jack Black's style of comedy and it also has fantastic effects and a decent usable story line.

I can't really say the movie is anything other than typical but for what it is it does it extremely well. It is truly a great movie: great humor, decent action scenes, nice balanced and rounded characters and what seems to be a deep running undertone of all the Chinese Kung Fu movies that were so good before the Americans got hold of them and made a ton of shitty action movies.

To be fair I feel that this must be said. When China was churning out Kung Fu movies they were all about a way of life I feel has sorta died since. When America got hold of Kung Fu movies they began to make typical action movies like the old Arnie movies or the Matrix and put Kung Fu in it and call it a Kung Fu movie.

I personally think a Kung Fu movie is about Kung Fu and an action movie is about action but maybe I'm just way too traditional for my own good.

Kung Fu Panda did something I haven't seen since the earliest Jackie Chan movies. It combined American cinematics and humor with traditional Chinese values and the way of Kung Fu itself. So for fans of both viewpoints it is aa great example of what can be done with these genre and not what sounds best on paper.

I also like the irony that Po in the first movie is like a modern day American thrown into a traditional Chinese setting and how the relationship between the two jars a little but the reactions between the two are genuine and natural and well acted i must say.

So Kung Fu Panda 1 flows nicely and although kinda what you expect it does however manage to add a little humor and deeper sense of things in there without the viewer being aware of it. It's a great movie and there really aren't that many like it nowadays.

Unfortunately for me my high standards mean that this is kinda what I expect from cinema and whenever i don't see it i am disappointed.

Dreamworks know how to make a movie roll along, they know how to do action scenes and they know how to direct but everything else that they add to this movie just makes it that much better than the rest and that is why i like it.

So now to Kung Fu Panda 2 and this movie is very different. Sure the directing, action, flow, graphics and stuff all seems to be like another KFP movie but there are a few things different and they are so different it was like I was watching a different movie all together.

For a start I love the bad guy in this movie. He never becomes a gimmick or typical but what he is a believable person. he fits the role of his character so well and never becomes cliche. To be honest he kinda steals the show from Po because his acting is top notch.

The movie itself takes a rather more serious approach to KFP but what jars an awful lot is the comedy. In some places its ok but there are the odd jokes that just seem so out of place in this movie it kinda ruins the whole scene for a bit. Apart from that though the movie is fantastic.

There isn't anything wrong with the movie which in itself is a great complement on my part and added to this is a great story, great characters, great graphics and great action scenes.

As before Dreamworks really know how to make a movie roll along and this does this thing well. The thing with Dreamworks is that they know how to get the basics right and this movie is just kinda like "well everybody expects it to be at least as good as KFP1 but we are going to take that template and add even more great things to the movie.".

However, unlike everyone who tries this they know what is important and don't cut it out of the sequel to add something they thought was a great idea at the time.

They clearly think things through before doing them and that is a quality which is sadly lacking from most movie studios nowadays.

This movie does kinda take a long hard look at some of the more traditional Kung Fu movies and add an American style action to it which actually does gel rather well in this movie.

The one issue i have is that i don't really understand the bad guy's death at the end. It looks like 2 different endings stuck together or if not the question is why the bad guy just lets himself die when he clearly had the chance to yano escape.

Me and my brother Fire Tiger came up with many alternative ending to the bad guy and even though they were all ideas that had been used before there were many ideas that would have made a better ending.

And one thing for those that have seen it. I'm not going to reveal any spoilers but the last scene and i mean the very last (not including the credits). What the hell? seriously. That kinda ruins the whole idea of Po's back story doesn't it?

Those who've seen it know what i mean.

Thanks for reading this by the way. I know this review wasn't a good one but there's not much to talk about Kung Fu Panda 2 other than it didn't do anything wrong and it's more traditional and more serious tones made this a great and possibly even better movie than its predecessor.

Transformers Movie Review

get ready for a rant

I wont give any spoilers because seriously the plot of this movie doesn't seem to matter that much. By the way, even though I watched the series as a kid I'm not going to say things like "oh wasn't the original so good" or "i can't believe they didn't put what's-his-name in it" or something. I'm treating this movie with a clean canvas because to be honest you can't expect any remake to be a carbon copy of something from years ago. It would be nice and nostalgic but honestly how many people do you think would actually go to watch it.

trivialities over with I will begin with the characters and that's because this is the one thing that seriously pissed me off more than anything. For a start the transformers themselves were rather well done. A lot of people complained that they looked stupid but what the hell did you expect to be honest. This isn't a Saturday morning cartoon, they are not going to look the same. The idea about the appearance was obviously to wow us with the special effects but unfortunately this was a bit of a problem. When standing still they look pretty good but when they start to move about all the extra flanges added to the roughly human shape really made it rather difficult to actually see what was going on. Half the time i just saw stuff moving around on the screen and had no actual idea what i was actually looking at. it kinda looked like a bunch of chewed up engine parts spinning around in a blender. Now if they had made the transformers not exactly a bit less detailed but more like a solid object and not lots off little objects stuck on end to a stick figure it would have been better.

Kinda got sidetracked there. The transformers themselves seem like rather believable genuine people, the Autobots (good guy robots) would nice reasonable people and the Decepticons (bad guy robots) were understandable and believable bad guys. However I am rather disappointed that the Autobots characters were more developed and the Decepticons were kinda explained along the way. Some scenes even had me thinking the Autobots are trying to fight a war here and all stupid main characters are trying to play movie roles for some reason. except for that one Minicon which I'll get to later.

Then lets discuss all the humans other than the hacker girl, Sam, Sam's mom and that army guy, yano the white one that got more screen time. Every single one of these characters was actually rather normal and believable as people. Kinda like they were normal people in the real world and weren't aware that they were in a movie. Sometimes however it was rather weird to watch because something movie-like would happen and they would just be like "what the fuck?".

There were characters that did act a little like they were a movie character but to be honest they were the kind of douche bags would act like that in real life anyway so I didn't really notice. you see, the difference is that if they were movie characters they would have everything written for them and their actions would be more natural and not really as awkward as they were. of course I'm talking about the 'Sector 7' agent and the one cop that one cop that asked if the kid did drugs.

All these characters were just like normal people and fit their job, culture, class, etc. perfectly. In a way that made a kind of undertone of satirical humor as the characters reacted to their role as a real person would and gave funny looks like "what the hell" to all the people who were quote unquote acting.

Now let me give a lowdown of the one's i left out because this is where this entire movie just goes to shit. It's not the writing, it's not the action sequences, it's not the similarity with the original, it's not the directing, it's not the story boards or the plot, it's not the special effects and it's not the acting of almost every character. the entire movie fails because of the acting of just a handful of characters in the story.

you heard right, the movie would have been great, even a massive hit i dare to say if it wasn't for the acting of this handful of character. these few characters destroy their parts so fucking badly it brings the entire movie down wit them. And i will start from the least significant and work my way up because these characters write a whole new book on bad acting. not bad for the usual reasons like breaking the forth wall and looking at the autocue or making unbelievable performances. No, these guys have invented a whole new act altogether. The act of being the biggest assholes in cinema history. they aren't funny, they aren't charismatic and half the time i feel like i just wanna walk up to the guys and slap them so fucking on across their face that i break my wrist and all my god damn fingers because these guys certainly look nice and genuine not at all like they are acting but they don't look like the kind of people you would aspire to, they just look like complete dickheads who are being normal but normal for twats.

this is big so I'm giving each a title of its own

Sam's Mom

Where as Sam's dad looks like the kind of dad that a lot of people have. Everything his says and does matches that of an actual genuine person. However, Sam's mom is like someone playing a role in a movie. So she makes a typical movie joke and Sam acts like an asshole son would react but the father is like "bitch, seriously? what the fuck?". She acts like she's in a movie but no-one else there does so instead of it looking like a movie scene it just looks like a recording of a normal person's life with one crazy bitch mom in the family. Everyone else is believable but she is so fucked up for being someone's mom that everyone else just looks awkward and confused around her.

The White Army Dude

You know the white army army guy that doesn't really have much of a part in the plot of this movie yet seems to appear at some rather significant points in time. If you've watched the movie its the guy that slides between the robots legs and grenades him. if this guy was real, i seriously fear for the American Air-force. The guy looks like he's just put an army suit on and played soldier because he knows absolutely nothing about combat in any way shape or form and instead kinda looks like a normal guy who was told to play the part of an army guy and instead played the part of a police officer because that was the closest to what he had already seen on TV.

The black army guy on the other hand acts exactly like a real soldier and half the time is wondering what the hell the white guy is doing half the time because he is clearly not following protocol or army training. The white guy even calls up a damn call center instead of the emergency charge free military phone line that the black guy phone's instantly the moment he gets the damn phone.

it like a person they picked up off the street trying to play Silvester Stellone trying to play a police officer in the movie die hard and right next someone who looks like a real soldier doing his job. It just looks rather weird and awkward. even the middle-eastern kid's dad that we only see for two seconds is more believable.

The Hacker Girl

Again this character looks weird. When she approaches the secretary of defense in the middle of a meeting to explain her theory. He's kinda "err, what are doing here. oh ok, that's very interesting but rather pointless. thanks for telling me though. can you leave now because you are actually not doing anything of any value. but keep up the hacking work cause that's actually useful. not like that random suggestion you just made that isn't really relevant.". Then when she turns up at the civilian black guy's house he's like "what the fuck are you doing here? what the hell bitch? why are you bringing classified shit into my house? what the fuck is wrong wit you?".

In other words she acts like a character in a movie playing a role and everyone else in the movie is just doing normal stuff. When she turns up she does all kinds of crazy shit and all the other people are like "what the hell are you doing? this isn't a movie or something.". It's very very strange.

The One Minicon In The Movie

Apart from when this thing is actually doing combat a lot of what it does just seems unbelievably goofy next to everyone else's normal-ness. it's like putting bugs bunny in terminator except that it is actually just a guy who thinks he is bugs bunny and acts like the character in real life.

So in other words the other transformers look like normal people and this thing looks like a mental patient impersonating a cartoon character. very, very strange.

and at last there is the biggie. The absolute worst of all the characters in the movie. I am of course talking about...

Sam
-----

Sam is a strange one. His acting is alot more like the extras in the movie than the side characters. He looks like a perfectly genuine guy who has found himself in this situation. The one problem is that this is the main character of the whole entire movie and he is the most unlikable asshole of a character. Half the time you can hear the other characters groaning and sigh or sometimes just feel the awkwardness between everyone else and him. He isn't likable, or funny, or charismatic, or even pleasant to watch. He's just a total asshole being a dick all the time and everyone else is just depressed that they have to be near him.

This guy acts like he wants to be punched. He is offensive to every character and whenever they comment on it he even more offensive back. And all the time none of what he says is clever or funny but you can tell in his own head he thinks it is. He doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone but just seems rather eager to get his car back, not because he has an emotional attachment to it but more like he's just a dick and he wants the car because that's HIS car.

The horrible thing is that everyone else is being rather nice and genuine around him and he is just going "ha ha! go fuck yourself" to everyone he meets. The only exception to this rule being the girl he meets who he clearly doesn't a shit about and just wants to get her pants off finding to his surprise that he actually has a chance with her. I personally think their must be a sex scene missing where she tosses him out of her house in the middle because he's such an asshole. You see, at one point in the movie it goes from potential romance to i hate your guts but I'm hanging around with you because for some reason i have to for a while.

I mean, seriously. Sam is a total asshole to everyone he meets: his parents, his girlfriend, her boyfriend, the FBI or whatever they are, the police, his dog, his best friend, his car, the car salesman, the army guys that help him out, the secretary of defense, the hacker team, Megatron and even the Autobots themselves. why would i ever like this annoying asshole who just seems to be on a mission to tease everyone into beating him up and then run away when they try. Even when this dude's life is in danger he still acts a douche picking on the bad guys, which i guess you are meant to think is him being defiant and good somehow.

So in other words.

This movie would have been great if the side characters i mentioned were better acted and more genuine and Sam was just a nice likable person and not a twat.

There are a few issues with special effects and there is an awful lot of pointless not exactly scenes but more like bits of scenes and there is a rather large lack of yano, the transformers. Yano, that thing the actual movie was about to begin with.

And that's not coming from a transformers fan there. I just think that if the transformers are doing most the actual anything in this movie that the focus should be on them. They are the main focus of the plot, they are the ones that do all the actual fighting in the fight scenes. As far as the plot is concerned Sam and all the other main characters are side characters and extras.

They don't add anything to the movie. They are just there. That's like making a house makeover program and making 90% of it about buying the tools and paint instead of yano, the DIY?

It's like writing a story about your life and instead writing it about the lives of everyone else you know and omitting yourself apart from the times in their lives when they actually met you.

This whole movie, even the camera angles just looks like a real life recording of transformers coming down to earth and having a fight out with a couple of actual actors shoved in who try to do movie stuff and everyone else is like "dude, what the fuck are you doing you crazy weirdo?".

so I can suggest this movie if you are a fan of the movie Cable Guy but if you hate that movie you'll probably want to tie Sam to a lamppost and set the fucker alight because this is just a weird weird experience rather than a movie.

but if you experience something you cannot explain and it happens more than once and has a definite pattern then something is going on here and dammit i want science to explain it.

so here's the lowdown.

when i get tired i start to hear snippets (small pieces) of conversations. You could say that it is just my imagination because I'm starting to dream whilst awake but all to often the things I hear are often related to what someone else is thinking right about that time.

so here's today's snippet. it aint much but it's interesting.
Guy1: "Where did I explode?" (odd thing to say)
Guy2: *something with 4 syllables* "telecom" (possibly "over by the telecom")
Guy1: "That's good"

sounds movie-like to me like somebody's watching it on TV.
Guy1 is a young male, sounds American and cocky.
Guy2 is much older, late adulthood, more relaxed but gruff in tone

anyone know what this is tell me, I wanna know.

It's all over

Well...
The Well is officially gone now. PartyHost has removed it. Everything got archived successfully but with no free host to post it on it's costing around $50 a day to keep all the sections going on individual webhosts. I'm sure they'll find a host that will supply them with their needs, but it is gonna take a while and while that happens we are resorting to using the temporary Sanrioero or 'Temp Well' until then. They say it'll take around 2 to 4 weeks to get the host. They have a few set up already but they are looking for the best offer.

Man this is tough

For those that don't know The Well has been given 3 weeks fro Monday the 9th to pack up and leave Party Host.

This is a mammoth task and so every available mod or retired mod and their mod-like friends have been roped in to help and that includes me.

at the moment they are just archiving everything and that means that my portion (what they called a small portion is at the moment 170,000 total posts in about 8,400 topics.

Each topic has to be painstakingly moved page by page to the archives (a page holds 10 posts).

At the moment I'm kinda breaking even averaging 10,000 posts a day (don't know how many topics).

I've decided to let the sweep go stagnant this month to make sure I have enough time to catch up and I'm sure those who it concerns will sympathize with me.

Everything is kinda up in the air right now as there are no available mods anywhere in the empire to watch over things.

The other site have become a kind of 'mob rule' as there is no-one around to sort things out.

I most encourage any members who read this to sit tight this month.

It is not the apocalypse, just a dark time for spark and its friends.

the two flop counts the companies gave

PS3 = 2000 Gigaflops
360 = 1000 Gigaflops

the two hertz counts the companies gave

PS3 = 20 Gigahertz
360 = 10 Gigahertz

what that means as a ratio

PS3 = 100 Flops/Hertz
360 = 100 Flops/Hertz

100 flops per every hertz is plausible. It's about how powerful we can make the machines. It means they do 100 calculations for every clock tick in the processor. So that means that since a float is 64 bytes it's about 6400 bytes (approx 6KB) per tick.

In Reality

The 360 has three 3.6 Gigahertz processors which adds up to 10.8 Gigahertz but it can only run one at once so it's still 3.6GHz anyway. The PS3 runs all of them together. The Xbox operating system is only 50% efficient whereas the PS3's is 100% thanks to its single-mode functionality. Therefore~

PS3 = 20 Gigahertz
360 = ~2 Gigahertz (and that's being generous)

if they stick to this story

PS3 = 2000 Gigaflops
360 = 1000 Gigaflops

then

PS3 = 100 Flops/Hertz
360 = ~500 Flops/Hertz

the 360's result is completely ridiculous. That's 32000 bytes (approx 31KB) per tick. That's more than 4 times the maximum possible.

if the following is still true then. Since we know this is plausible.

PS3 = 100 Flops/Hertz
360 = 100 Flops/Hertz

then

PS3 = 2000 Gigaflops
360 = ~200 Gigaflops

that is one tenth that of the PS3

so the PS3 is 2.0 Teraflops
and the 360 is 0.2 Teraflops

First we start with the specs. I won't bore you with trip counts and crap like that but there are a couple of stats you might wanna know.

First, the Hertz count.

I know many people think that the XBox 360 has 10.8GHz or something but that is crap. The 3 3.6GHz processors would add up to 10.8 but there's a little detail here. It would only be that if they all worked at once. The 360 can only run one at a time so it's basically just 3.6GHz anyway. Add on the fact that OS makes it 50% efficient makes it about 1.8GHz.

Using the same logic a high-end gaming PC with a quad core processor and 4GHz graphics card gets up to 2GHz max of actual processing.

A Mac works a slightly different way giving it a tiny bit more power from the same number of GHz, about 2.2GHz but Macs suck at running games anyway.

The PS3 has 10, count them, 10 processors, each with 2GHz of power. Since they all communicate with each other, unlike the Xbox 360, that makes 20GHz of power. The PS3 OS is also approximately 100% efficient so its actual processing power is 20GHz.

Hertz count results

XBOX 360:   1.8GHz
PS3:      ~20.0GHz

what does that mean anyway?

well basically a PS3 can run 10 different Xbox 360 games at once with a little power to spare too.

The PS3 truely is a monster with immense processing power at its fingertips

~BUT~

The 360 works like a PC so it's easy to make games on a PC and port them over.

The development software is cheap and easy to use so most companies use the 360 coz it's cheaper in labor and training costs.

Also, games that use any more than an Xbox 360's maximum capability can only be sold on a PS3, whereas those that use only what a 360 is capable of can be sold to both console markets.

So publishers prefer to make games for Xbox and port them onto the PS3 so they can sell them to both types of gamer.

This means that almost every game for PS3 is on the Xbox 360 and there isn't really a difference in quality.

So you might as well get an Xbox 360 because it's cheaper.

Conclusion

The PS3 is a better machine but only a fraction of its power is used.

Both consoles have the same games but the 360 is cheaper.

Get an Xbox 360.

The Mega Drive is Powerful

I have just discovered how powerful the Mega Drive (Genesis in the US) is. It is quite surprising I suggest you read on.

First a little history but if you want you can skip this bit coz it's boring. Scroll down to the RED TEXT below to get to the end of it.

During World War 2 the US was testing their nuclear weapons in an army base just outside Las Vegas.

People flocked to Las Vegas to watch the spectacular explosions which got Las Vegas its nickname "The Up And Atom Town".

Sega or as they were known then 'Service Games' was happy to manufacture and build slot machines for the tourists and that is how they began.

In the 70s the Odyssey pretty much ruled the video game market.

Sega did compete with their own machine but the controller was stupidly complicated and the games were equally confusing.

Atari took over at the start of the 80s but Sega again tried to compete with the Master System.

But the MS was too expensive for developers to make games on and for people to buy games for.

This meant that roughly 90-95% of all the games ever made for it were never released in the US.

Subsequently most of the world never got them either since they all get what America hands out anyway.

Apple were the first to combine the technology of various computer companies to build the Apple PC.

They were all bought by one company and Apple used their wealth to build the Apple II which sold like crazy to businesses and made Apple very wealthy.

Then IBM which were the biggest computer manufacturer of the day bought all the technology and commissioned Microsoft (an upstart failure of a company at this time) to build the software (intentionally a complete copy of Apple's Macintosh OS).

It worked though but not as IBM planned because Microsoft outsourced their code to other hardware and left IBM behind them taking all the profits.

Now at this time Sega and Nintendo were in a fierce battle trying to take over the arcades and boy were there some good games out at this time.

Pretty much every Atari, Sega and Nintendo classic came out within the space of 2 or three years.

Sega had their own development companies and so did Nintendo as well as a few independent companies and massively rich businesses selling to all machines.

However it was Atari who really ruled the game market at this time.

Having the cheapest machine to develop games for and buy games on / pay per use the Atari was easily the best choice.

This is despite the fact that the games were of very poor quality compared to the competition.

But Nintendo cleverly partnered with Microsoft and made their development software compatible with Windows.

This made it much easier and cheaper for businesses to make games for Nintendo.

And then they took it one step further by developing their own machine to run the games on known as The Family Computer (Famicon for short).

It's also known as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES for short) to most of the English speaking world.

However by the time the Famicon was built, the arcades and most PC manufacturers had developed 16-bit technology.

Only the consoles (Atari & Famicon) were 8-bit at this point and difference in quality is shocking.

Most people started playing on the consoles exclusively and gained the false belief that the Famicon was as good as gets.

This was all thanks to highly popular games like Donkey Kong and Duck Hunt.

There were plenty of 64-color-GIF-quality 16-bit games released in the arcades but they were ignored.

The mysterious thing about this whole thing was that Sega was claiming that their arcade games were cartridges for the Master System and they just glued them into the drive.

This would mean that the Master System which was built soon after the Atari was as powerful as the latest 16-bit arcade machines.

Now that's the equivalent of building an Xbox in 1997 to battle the PS1.

The hardware and software would be too complex for most to understand or be able to afford at the time.

So if it was true it's understandable why it would fail.

It sounds far fetched but there were PCs that could run Xbox graphics in 1997 so it's not impossible.

Likewise there were machines that could run as powerful as a 16-bit machine when the Atari was made.

So it's not impossible, just very very expensive and a total waste of money.

It is still quite impressive that they could have packed it into such a small device but the technology did exist ~just~.

Atari battled Nintendo for the top console with Atari teaming up with independent companies and Nintendo teaming up with the big faceless organizations.

Nintendo managed to buy a popular PC game title of the day (Tetris) and use it to aid the sales of their handheld games machine, the Gameboy.

Gameboy's fame was short-lived but it lasted just long enough to cripple Atari and force them to retire.

Nintendo thought they owned the world but for a few years now Sega had been developing their latest machine, The Mega Drive.

I'm calling it the Mega Drive here because that's what it is called in Japan, where it was made and first sold.

The Genesis as it happens is not quite the same machine but that's another story.

When the MD arrived it had a craze or two as it was clearly much more powerful than the Famicon (NES).

But then Nintendo released the Super Famicon (AKA the Super NES or SNES) and at first it seemed its technological equal.

Even today people still claim that the Super Famicon was more powerful than the Mega Drive but it is sadly not true.

Like with the Master System and their other machine before it the Mega Drive was too advanced, too complex and too expensive for both developer and gamer alike.

They clearly had not learned their lesson at all after all this time.

I was a gamer about this point in time and I saw the Super Famicon storm the market and obliterate their competition.

True, the SF had the best games by far but that was mainly because it was cheap to make games on.

The same tactic is what made the Atari so popular for so many years despite the more advanced competition.

Unlike the others before it the Mega Drive didn't really bomb and it put up a fight but it was always the underdog.

What confused me was how it could compete with other machines by adding a CD drive to it or a fancy cartridge.

I always thought that the machine itself must be pretty good to produce that quality with just an extra drive stuck to it.

And now that I'm older I've learned alot more about computers and you'd think the answer got simpler but it doesn't.

As far as I can tell the machine would have to be as powerful as a 32-bit machine to do what it does.

The drives can't make the machine itself any faster or more powerful at processing so the power is all the Mega Drive and not the fancy drives.

There's some theories that the CD drive is a console in itself or that the 32X cartridge adds extra ram but it's all crap.

I've looked at the hardware components and all there is is the reader/writer and a compressor/decompressor chip.

There's no way that would give any more power to the processing at all.

What it does do however is quite interesting.

What it does is compress the data before passing it through the processor.

And from what I've heard this 'Blast Processing' is simply a method of processing data in its compressed form.

Most devices decompress the data, process it and then recompress the data again.

The Mega Drive DOES NOT DECOMPRESS THE DATA.

It runs the data, while it is compressed.

That explains how a few meg processor can process hundreds of megs at once.

But wait it gets better.

!!TECHNICAL BIT OVER!!

so what does this mean in terms of power.

There are many theories about the MD's true power but few have been proven.

Essentially the MD is a 32-bit machine.

It's less powerful than the Play Station One, I'd say it's about the power level of the Sega Saturn, slightly less.

How do I know this?

I have heard tons of accounts that the Mega Drive can run the Sega Saturn versions of many of the Virtua series games.

I've heard it can even run Sonic Jam.

And all these have come from reliable sources and have been confirmed by other reliable sources as well.

Of course it's impossible for me to prove it to you without first getting a Mega Drive & CD Drive, rewiring and reprogramming it, putting the game in and running it for you.

If I showed you footage of it you'd say it was faked so this is the only way.

I don't know how to rewire and program custom built 1989 blast-processing technology and most of the kit is specific to that machine anyway.

If you have any footage please send me it so I can make this sound more plausible.

Right now it sounds like the ravings of a madman.

Well now the Egg topic has it's own site devoted to it on FIAR.

I sure hope FIAR adopts the whole subs idea. I would love to have little groups around instead of shared submission profiles.

It's simply called Egg and for those who know the back story it's pretty much a site in itself anyway right now.

It has its own world, with its own map, with its own animals and people and cultures so I don't see why it shouldn't have its own site.

I personally would like to see more integration with SOYL since they connected these two huge sites up so well I don't see how SOYL could be any more difficult now.

Seeing as we are having a superhero themed sorta day today maybe I should do something special with Doctor Oh or Captain Zero.

Real Life Superheroes

yeah most of these guys are probably either never gonna do anything significant or wind up dead. Alot of these guys lack the conviction in their eyes to do what must be done in the right situation and/or lack the appropriate skills, gadgets and/or protection to be able to take on a real enemy.

So lets break it down.

None of them are that good at combat and when it comes to a guy wielding a gun they are just gonna get themselves killed.

None of them have any really useful gadgets and they are gonna find that they just can't stop them from a significant distance.

And considering the fact that the enemy may be armed with a knife or gun their stupid outfits would offer no protection whatsoever.

So I have searched the many superheroes out there and found that there are very few that are more than just wannabes.

The most interesting of the individuals I have places below for further discussion.

In my book at least these guys are the chosen few who deserve a mention.

Angle Grinder Man

This was the first one I ever heard of and is definitely one of the first if not the first vigilante superhero like character there was. He actually went out there and did something rather than being just a deterrent. But his actions weren't all that good to begin with. He was basically a vigilante villain in the guise of a hero. But he actually made a stand and did something.

Life

This guy is gonna get killed and probably first of all the super heroes. He gets himself into trouble, makes a big show of himself, he has no real abilities of any sort and his disguise is terrible so he's probably gonna get killed real soon.

Thanatos

This guy again hasn't got any real ability but he looks like the kinda guy who would beat a robber to death. So I'm guessing this guy is either gonna be arrested or shot by the police rather than getting done in by a criminal.

Motor Mouth

This guy has actually put in some effort for once. He wears armor and if you don't have any super powers that is basically the number 1 priority. But the kind of armor is the best part. He is bullet proof, almost entirely from head to foot. He's also wearing black which works well with stealth and in his latest adaptation of his outfit he has a bulletproof helmet and face mask with shot proof flash bang visor to boot.

This guy will actually do something for once and it will take more than a few bullets to take him down too. He also has a taser which is brilliant for incapacitating enemies. And he is constantly adapting himself to improve the design.

The one problem with this guy is that it is not to hard to discover his identity so he is probably gonna be killed during his normal life.

This superhero is destined to happen at some point. Who he or she will be we do not know but what we do know is that they will use stealth, they will not appear in the public eye, the police will be after them, their identity will be impossible to discover, they will wear black and bullet proof armor from head to foot, they will probably have a gun (most likely a sniper to boot), they will be trained in close range combat and physically fit as well, and they will be one mean mother fucker. When they arrive we will have a real superhero but I predict that it may be 10 to 50 years before they arrive on our streets.

Watch out for this mystery individual because they will scare the holy shits out of any criminal and especially those that are the highest rank of gangster and any corrupt politician.

He will be regarded as a super villain and hated by everyone but just you wait because when they arrive your whole world will be turned upside-down.

Battle Girl & Battella
Battle Girl is a white usagi girl with red eyes and human legs. She wears a living battle suit that looks like something from Power Rangers called Battella. And the suit can speak to her with her mind. Suit's a girl by the way.

Apparently she also has the spirit of her dead lover (a tall and very human shaped white cat anthro) inside her belly and that speaks to her through her mind as well.

I think Battle Girl might have taken a few too many hits around the head area.

Big Baby
Anyway, his other character is a 10 foot baby named Big Baby. Probably seen too many Ghibli movies. It's a girl by the way.

I have a feeling this is gonna be in Episodes X somehow.

Next is Harrier's stuff and he has a back story too

2 workmen were working on fixing some power lines from a cherry picker when an irate woman started beating them with a broom. They got electrocuted and all three fell at once into a vat of waste sludge being carried on the back of a cleaning truck. This gave them super powers.

fanfic contest

at the moment I only have the characters and I'm kinda hoping my fans will write the episodes for me. I recon I've done enough for now so I'm gonna give it a few days to see what you can make while we finish episodes 16 & 17.

Chapter 18

In this episode a Wizard named Gilding has a magic mirror named Silver that captures a curious young (preteen) tailless white cat anthro girl name Tia (she wears a napalm clan outfit BTW). The mirror keeps her captive and turns her into a silver golem. She also meets the mirrors former captive and now adopted daughter who is also tailless and preteen (slightly older) but is instead a golden Labrador wearing a brown hooded tracksuit with front pockets. Later she also becomes a silver golem.

That's all I got so far but I need some sort of ending and more of a middle.

Chapter 19

A white cat anthro boy (in his 20s) finds himself looking after some strange pets for someone. They are basically like white circular sheets with eyes and a mouth. Kinda like an octopus. They seem to like unusual foods so he goes on holiday to China to find them some delicacies to try.

When he gets home one day he finds they have all merged together into a female human shaped being. He takes advantage of this but then finds out that the creature is pregnant with his children and has to look after this mute being until the babies are born.

He then gets 9 little cat anthro girls each a certain color:
Red, Green, Blue,
Black, Grey, White,
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow.

I would prefer the characters to wear trousers of some sort but I'll leave their designs up to the fans.

Magenta is bossy
Cyan is shy and submissive
Yellow is a big ball of energy
Black is excitable
White is mellow
Grey is sly and cheeky
Red is aggressive
Blue is nerdy
Green is just generally a nice person

again I only have the start of the story and I need the rest. I was thinking of having the story set a few years later when the girls are all grown up.

just a concept at the moment. A woman gets drunk and sleeps with someone. When she awakes she finds that she is in a strange bedroom and there are someone-else's belongings there as well as her own. Then she begins to remember what happened last night and comes to the realization that she might have killed her lover last night. However, the body is nowhere to be found.

All she has are his clothes and his mobile phone. She has to find out who the man is and what has happened to him but without suspicion falling on her.

Got some ideas but more would be appreciated. Hope the guys from the Red Tide project can help out.

Part 1

a young doe girl (female gazelle) is captured by a mother crocodile who persuades the girl to become part crocodile and be raised by the crock mother but can she chose between her two very different lives and the two very different boys she likes?

Part 2

Being the only human in an anthro city can be tough but Betty the obese business woman knows how to handle the jeers and name calling. She wont let an insult slip by. With her huge belly she enforces dominance over her fellow work colleges and her white cat lover. But can she control herself even when the belly wont stand for it.

Part 3

In a drug den in Tweaton many small animals (8inch tall) of different kinds were getting wasted when one gets sat on by the obese human landlord. In this episode he has to try and escape while the fat woman is passed out sitting on top of him. To make matters worse, all him friends are stoned apart from one joker named Bleach who finds the whole thing absolutely hilarious and refuses to help.

It also turns out Bleach is into some sort of sadistic cult slash gang mob but how can our poor hapless hero warn anyone whilst stuck under a huge woman's ass.

By the way, I have already had an email from someone who wants to marry Bleach and several asking for a date scene episode involving them. Can't for the life of me figure out why but keep sending your requests guys and I'll see what we can do.

Now that the Japanese government have raised the threat level of the nuclear disaster to an international incident status the US have quickly pointed the finger but the stats they've given are absolutely ridiculous.

First off, of the 10,000 people strong population of the towns destroyed by the tsunami 25,000 people are said to be dead.

Where the hell the other 15,000 people came from I'll never know considering the total population of all the area is only 10,000 people.

And secondly 9,500 people are going to die from cancer so that would mean the entire populous of people who have been evacuated, everyone who came to visit them and all the people working in the area have contracted fatal radiation levels despite precautions and the mere fact that half of them left to other parts of the country immediately after the tsunami struck.

That means that a large number who weren't even there when the power station started to have problems contracted fatal levels of cancerous radiation from hundreds of miles away.

Seriously these numbers are just stupid.

April 1st Idiocy

The living dead are real

On the first of April this year (just over a week ago) a bunch of scientists of all people did something really bloody stupid and have yet to correct their wrong.

Let me explain.

There had been reports that a group of vagrants had been camping out in some farm land in the Philippines. Local officials denied it and refused to acknowledge their existence in an attempt to avoid paying compensation for the circumstances that brought them there.

However some people came forth and stated that they knew the vagrants well and they had indeed set up a camp site. The government then sent some officials over to confirm their identity.

The officials returned but they said that the individuals had no formal ID so the government sent them back to get blood samples for DNA testing.

At this point it becomes April 1st as the samples are sent to the lab but when the scientists analyzed the samples they quickly found the chemical makeup of the samples was distinctly wrong.

The chemical balance of the blood seemed to indicate that the blood was from corpses and not from that of the living.

They told officials that it was an April fools hoax and that the blood of unembalmed corpses had been used to try to fool them.

The government was able to identify the individuals by their DNA, reclassified them as dead and filled out their death certificates.

Their possessions were handed down to their families who mourned for their loss and spoke on TV demanding that their bodies be recovered so that a proper funeral could take place.

When officials went to the camp site they found them alive and well and rather oblivious to what had happened due to a lack of electrical supply in the area.

When officials returned they stated that the individuals were helping plants to grow and feeding animals.

To which the government replied (in Philippino BTW) "That's what corpses do".

The White Sheet

secret government document found (supposedly)

along with many government documents that were found that exposed the expenses scandal there was a single sheet of white paper that had been torn at the corner as if ripped from a stapled document. It had a few lines right at the very top of the document as if it was carrying on from something more.

"belief that our developed countries will not survive the war of December 21st 2012 against our foreign enemies now that we have lost the eastern states to the alliance."

it has been dubbed the white sheet because it is almost entirely blank. Nobody knows what the rest of the document said but this half sentence is pretty fucking damning if you ask me.

There's no signature and no footer on the paper. This suggests it is a draft and not a completed work.

The bit that worries me is the startlingly accurate date, the mention of a war and the reason why.

They say the world ends on that day so now I'm rather confused and worried.

Fritz Felix (the main character) is a 40 year old male that looks like a preteen labrador inumimi girl. Fritz finds the world beautiful and is often in awe when he watches the world go by living it's normal life. He loves the landscape and likes to paint. Marey is a busty mustang anthro that is his best friend. She finds his mind attractive but would never go with anyone who looks so young however they are life long friends.

Haven't really got a story but with the characters it can't be hard to write. I already have a bunch of scenes I'd like to glue together with some driving plot.

Midge gets a job advertising for a theme park and has to dress as a giant dinosaur. She has to supply her own costume so looks around the Spanish town she now calls home but can't find a shop and no-one speaks English. Then an old English-speaking man comes up to her and guides her to a pawn shop he owns where there is a dinosaur costume for sale.

She buys it and takes it home but when she puts it on to try it but it turns out to be alive and turns her into a dinosaur niside it (she is a dinosaur wearing a dinosaur costume). She tries to hide her identity from her lover especially since her new form is not a midget anymore and she think her bf would think she's unattractive.

More stuff happens but that's what the official story's for.

A claustrophobic man gets trapped under rubble when a mall he is visiting collapses. A (female) living bear costume called Berry forces him to wear it so it can climb out of the rubble with him inside since he is too scared to do it himself.

They become close friends because of the incident and fall in love but the man who has now changed his name to Klossy by depol accidentally gets eaten by Berry in her sleep.

A flux named Tendril Starr offers to bring him back but at what cost.

About Chapter 14 of Episodes X

I have already written the script basically but it needs some input from TVOR, Saiko & Mon.

Here's the lowdown

The young looking boy main character is called Daniel
The older looking boy is called Big Jock so far
(both boys are in their 20s by the way)
Big Jock's girlfriend has yet to be given a name
(it will probably be Rose judging by the votes so far)

Jock goes on a dating site and finds a girl called Danielle who he agrees to meet. They go on a date and decide to go to Jock's place to get to know each other better. However, in the bedroom Danielle reveals that she is in fact a he (Daniel). But they decide to go along with it anyway.

But Jock turns out to be a cannibal who wants to kill and eat Daniel. Most would be scared but Daniel has a trick up his sleeve. Daniel is actually a monster in human form and overpowers Jock and threatens to eat him if he doesn't change his ways. Jock being terrified agrees.

But it turns out that Daniel is not the first in a long line of people Jock has killed for pleasure and Jock's girlfriend knows all about it. Also, Daniel is still in love with Jock despite the fact he doesn't love him back and wanted to kill him in the first place.

Daniel tries to get rid of Jock's girlfriend so that he can have him all to himself but she is not all she seems either. Lots more twists and turns but you'll have to read it wont you.

I have human, griffon and snake limb forms of Daniel so far. Got any ideas it would e great and we'll vote on what we use in the final draft.

Episodes X Chapter 13

new episode and it's double length

This one features Midge from the unofficial Episodes X episode that Mon made. You could kinda read it as Chapter 14 and Mon's as the official 13 or or count her's as Chapter Zero or two and a half or something or maybe this is just that episode rewritten.

The Lowdown
features:
-Midge;
-an unnamed kidnapper who gives his name as Mr.Smith, his ex wife calls him John;
-Mary, the kidnapper's ex wife;
-an as yet unnamed ghost who help get rid of Mary;
-Peggy;
-and an unnamed living mattress that Midge names Benny for ease of conversation.

Midge (a vertically challenged pup crawler) is out on a razz with her friends again. She meets a guy she likes at a club and goes to his place to sleep with him (Mon wrote that part).

There he tricks her into getting tied up and packs her off in a suit case (with an oxygen supply BTW).

When she is released she finds that she has been taken to Spain to be the kidnappers sex slave. However they manage to come to an agreement and decide to live together as a couple instead.

Unfortunately their home is haunted by the jealous ghost of the man's ex-wife (also dwarfed) who tries to get rid of her. Also Peggy for TMS makes an appearance as a woman after Midge's man and the couples mattress dislikes their union and attempts to kill the happy couple.

How the hell could aliens understand a word we are saying

To begin English is widely known as the most difficult language in the world to learn. Even people who speak French and German, which are the two languages which make up most of English, still take years to learn it.

Bare in mind that an alien language might be Latin based where each symbol represents a sound or Arabic based where each symbol represents a word.

Also bare in mind that not all aliens are going to speak the same language as each other either. As we have multiple languages here on Earth so will there be multiple alien languages out there on their planet.

Not only this but we communicate through vocal sounds and written texts. What is to say that aliens would have developed to communicate the same way.

Maybe they communicate in colors, frequencies of light, by radio signals or maybe just sign language.

If they are all deaf and communicate through gesticulation then it wont be until they abduct someone who communicates in sign language until they can understand us.

But if they do communicate through the same means as us, without frequent interaction with the same people, they would only get limited knowledge from each.

If aliens were to tap into our communication network would it make any kind of sense. Bare in mind that most of our communication is sent in compressed image files (JPEGs) and binary encrypted text files (HTMLs).

The compression process of JPEGs makes it damn near impossible to decipher without using a very complex algorithm and that means that aliens probably couldn't see them without using an Earth PC.

As for the HTMLs and pretty any other ascii encoded text file there are many things that could upset their attempts to read them.

1. do they even use binary in the first place and would they be able to figure out that it is indeed a sequence of on and off signal and not some advanced Morse code.

2. now knowing it's a binary signal how would they know that the data goes in packets of eight digits. Even if they got this slightly wrong it would just be garbled and how would they even know if they actually got it right?

3. now getting the groups of digits correctly how do they know that they equate to certain written characters. Would they realize that the first letter begins at number 65 to begin with?

4. having got all the characters printed out how do they know what the message says without being taught English step by step like we are taught as children.

5. now understanding English will their knowledge of our language be similar to a foreigner trying to speak it. If they find certain common phrases hard then there's no way they are gonna be able to explain themselves to us.

6. now understanding us completely do they even care if we know about them when they would rather know about us.

UFOs

I was looking at some UFO sightings on the net and here's what I found.

Of course I am damned skeptical about this. Not that I don't believe in aliens, it's quite the contrary. For anyone who does the math there is definitely alien life out there in space and it most likely has the technology to get here and back mainly because it probably came from within the solar system in the first place.

The problem is that the UFO sightings are either obvious fakes or really poor quality footage that is absolutely useless as any sort of evidence. You would think that by now we would have got a decent image or something.

Anyway, I went in with skeptical eyes but some things didn't add up.

For a start almost all the images that aren't obvious fakes feature the exact same design of space craft, even down to the very tiny details, and these all confirm the exact pattern at which they move which to me smacks straight up as a fucking helicopter.

If these were all fake they wouldn't agree on the same design as each person has their own interpretation of what it should look like. And there is something key to its design as well.

Now it is fair to say that any alien race is not going to design their space craft to suit current human fashion trends so why does the ship look exactly like it belongs in the 60s.

This coupled with its helicopter like movement in the air suggests to me that this ufo at least is some form of stealth helicopter like vehicle.

This to me smacks of secret military craft and not at all alien space craft.

There was a war going on at the time I believe so having a stealth chopper would be quite handy.

There's also another detail. Later images of the craft show some sort of modern device fitted to the roof. Much like what the military would do if they were still using the craft and had to update it for modern warfare.

The second thing about ufos is probably more likely to be extra terrestrial.

2 things really, balls of energy that hover through the sky and strange gelatinous jellyfish-like space craft that can move at unprecedented speeds.

For a start we have jellyfish in the ocean so a jellyfish that flies through space is not that far fetched at all even if you think about the vacuum effect.

As for the balls of light though there are 1000s of accounts of these things right throughout history. We called them wandering spirits and their quick darting nature and slow gliding and floating patterns are well documented too.

They've been called orbs, sprites, lens flare, dust particles, air brush effects, pocket lightning, background radiation, dead pixels, sun spots, bubbles, blimps, glare, spores and even early signs of a stroke but the fact is that there has always been something that is just like that there.

Now these seem the most unbelievable of all the alien explanations. They don't look like life, they don't have space craft and most of all we see them absolutely everywhere.

But to me that makes them more believable.

Aliens most likely aren't going to look like us. There are theories that they would evolve the same binocular vision and general position of facial features. However, the chances of aliens evolving from an alien equivalent of a primate to start with is a bit of a stretch and then there's their almost human build as well.

Aliens might not even be made of matter for all we know so floating balls of energy sounds fine to me.

Then there's the fact they have no ship. Also kinda believable because if a form of life evolved out there in space that could travel through space unaided it's quite likely they would have got to us first.

Then what about the fact we often think we see them sometimes and the fact we keep seeing stuff like them in photos.

Again this isn't far fetched either because if aliens are around and have been for some time they probably visit us regularly so catching a glimpse of them every now and then is perfectly possible.

And here's another conundrum. If aliens have been here for centuries then surely the must have built spaceships in our planets orbit or space satellites or something right?

If they did then why haven't we found them or crashed a satellite or spaceship into one already? Space is infinite but our planet's orbit is fairly limited.

If they are not in our orbit then maybe they are on the moon. Seeing as we don't visit there much and we have no satellites orbiting it it wouldn't be too hard to hide a ship if you just keep moving it around the far side of the moon about once a week.

Or how about this, most of the ocean despite being mapped is not able to be seen by satellites. Also, seeing as it's a huge expanse of nothingness as far as we are concerned, we aren't exactly gonna go searching it with a fine toothed comb are we?

So if you want to hide an extra terrestrial base somewhere where no-one is gonna find it here on Earth the best place to put it is in the ocean itself right?

Now baring that in mind there are some building-like structures that have been found by satellite in our oceans.

Wouldn't you like to know what's down there?

If they fly in jellyfish like craft then one suggestion might be that they aren't in fact extra terrestrial but rather they are sea creatures which have lived beside us for centuries that have ventured onto land like we have onto sea.

Who knows?

maybe we are making connections between multiple different topics and reading too much into unreliable information or maybe we have half the answers and we fill in the blanks too much.

One day we will know but not now.

Until then we should only believe what we know to be true and venture to find the truths out there that still elude us.

He helps turn the corrupted prison into a place where criminals can become nice people through hard work and encouragement. There are a few twists and turns but you'll just have to read the real thing wont you.

Mike has a retrial now that new evidence has come to light and is freed from the prison. However, a serial killer finds his name on the register and plans to kill the man. After receiving death threats he is housed in a new area along with other ex-prisoners so that he can be kept away from the public who might try to harm him. There he finds a pedophile who is secretly taking pictures of children and selling them online. He tries to tell the police but he himself comes under scrutiny instead. The serial killer captures him and attempts to kill the man for his supposed crimes before he has the chance to tell the police about the other pedophile. Wont tell you what happens next you'll just have to read it.

Jay (not me) accidentally gets someone pregnant and is stuck with the child. Flash forward to a few years later and the child (girl) is going through puberty and the father being the caring one has to go through all the various things associated with it with her. Very awkward but still lovely episode.

After the love in Jay's (not mine) marriage starts to wear thin the couple decide to get a little adventurous in bed but their night is frequently ruined by their child's interruptions. Lots of humor as they try to hide what they are doing from their kid.

After their activities one night the now female Jay (not me) gets a vibrator stuck inside himself (not my idea). He then has to spend the whole day of work the next day with it stuck there. However, the tool accidentally activates and there are various things that happen as he tries to get it out without anyone noticing. Alot like Mr. Bean this ep is.

A water snake and a beached eel make an unusual friendship resulting in them being hated by the community but a wizard turns them partially human so they can live happily in human society. Lots of other stuff happens but you'll just have to read the real deal.

A child called Jessica is kidnapped and sold into slavery where she grows up to be an independent young woman and forms her own business despite the fact she has become blind. Lots more to it but you'll have to read it.

Jessica tries to join The Elite to help them in their work but instead is sent to live alone in the Jungle to see if she can qualify to join. There she is attacked and transforms into a carnivorous monster. Jessica is a vegan and so she has to wrestle with her urge to kill. She then finds a man who works on a pig farm who teaches her how to look after pigs and she finds that there are ways of controlling herself. However, one problematic pig called Betsy pushes her to her limits. To read more go to the actual page.

A robot name Shi falls in love with a girl but he has a dark secret that he keeps locked deep inside. He has to kill to survive. She loves him so much she gives her life for him. Shi gets very angry and kills his creator for what he has made her do. However a flux brings his girlfriend back and changes Shi so he no longer needs to kill. But can Shi resist his addiction to killing even if his girlfriend asks him to? Read and find out.

By the way, if any of this doesn't seem that weird or imaginative I've cut out the details because my family reads this blog.

what is Episodes X

if you've not heard of it so far then good for you. Keep living your blissful life and don't read on into this blog post.

Everyone by now is aware that I write an internet novel-like thing called Albion (formerly World, formerly RPM, formerly KBT). It has become rather popular with the members of spark, probably because it was written while I was still a mod.

Anyway, I have a network of fans and many peeps who make comic versions of my eps and stuff.

An unprecedented amount of my fans have been requesting for way too long for me to make a sexual episode here and there.

Thankfully TVOR has helped me on a couple so far just as some sort of crowd-pleaser but as the fans said it was nothing like my work. Sorta just a fanwork of it featuring some key characters.

So they have been requesting like crazy for me to write one. And I regretfully accepted.

So that's what Episodes X is really. Just a sort of spin-off irrelevant to the main plot arch that is written by me sorta.

People say it's very much like my Albion work so they think I make everything. I don't really want to have that kind of association with my name really. For some reason TMS & The Well think I'm the god of perverts already or something.

So why did I do it?

I'm getting a bit stuck with the story (in Albion). It's not really going anywhere. There isn't any big plot going on now. I think it's about time the Albion series retired and I made a game of it.

I've been trying out many different things to see if the plot can lend to a spin off. I used to make spin-offs for fun like Hardware, Dimentia, Bloody Sports & SJS but Gun, Fiction Factor & Final Battle were just there because I ran out of ideas.

With The Agency it was a test to see if I could take the series in a different direction and it worked but I didn't like it and I got bored. I tried again with Ichi Ni San but that series was just shit.

But Episodes X was an attempt to take a new direction and I actually like how it turned out.

Sure it's a porn series but it has heart and I think I can really do something with this. It's new and strange to me but I think if anyone was going to make a porn spin-off of Albion I would rather it be done right and therefore done by me.

The problem is I've wasted no time in making the series very creative and different and when that it coupled with the rumors that I'm the biggest pervert in the world I think I may have a stigma that I may never get off my head now.

Porn bores me, it just seems like they aren't really trying. Why have the ability to create a whole fantasy realm at your fingertips and waste it on porn stories about stuff that could happen in real life.

Oh It's The Postman or Sex Romp At The Office just doesn't do it for me. If it's a story make it weird, wild and crazy like Oh It's The Killer Death Robot From Outer Space or Sex Romp Through The Fragile Fabric Of Time or something.

Reality is something we live every day. Frankly, if you spend your time writing or reading a story about practical and possible sex episode you might as well just go out there and do it for real anyway.

I want to write about things you can't do so your imagination can take you on a wild roller coaster through space and time and fantasy.

Reality sucks and we all know it so every once in a while break away from it and swim in the sky with elephants or journey to plant-topia through the wall behind the wardrobe.

But I don't do it as escapism and I don't want others to either. I just want to see where my mind takes me and all the rice diversity my mind can flow.

So yeah, Episodes X is sexual but it's also deep and meaningful, it's strange and fantastic and most of all friendly.

I'll post another log about the lowdown of the episodes and don't ask me to post them here.

I will NEVER post them here. The whole idea in the first place was to help a friend so you'll just have to visit them there OK.

Let me explain something about Episodes X.

Yes I am involved in it but that does not make me a perverted bastard.

1, I write the initial plot. Nothing more than a few notes on what the scenes should have in them.
2, I write most of the dialogue. Everything except the sexual bits because I'm not good at that so TVOR, Saiko & Mon write them for me under my supervision. I am meerly there to keep them under control and not go all OTT on it.
3, They write the sex scenes, not me.
4, I edit it all together, scrapping anything too twisted, sexual or perverted (within reason) and generally make the story flow a bit better.

I am not responsible for the sex scenes, I meerly supervise.

And it was all Mon's idea in the first place.

Secrets of Street Fighter 4

Apparently there are some secret moves and stuff hidden in Street Fighter 4.

So far I have found a few character based stuff but apparently there are secret story arches and level secrets too. I've also heard that the original Street Fighter 4 has more secrets than the Super Street Fighter 4 game but I'm still waiting to get some of my info confirmed.

Let's start with new guys

Abel

Apparently there is a cheat you can perform to extend his reach with throws so it is almost double and there is a way to glitch the game by pressing start over and over while loading a match with Abel in it which will result in Abel having M.Bison's intro and winning animations in the match, dunno why.

C.Viper

There are many rumors about cheats that this character can do including an alternative 3D model with a more defined cleavage and an ability to cast the pokemon Seviper as a special move.

The only one I could confirm was that she has a move where she punches the enemy in the face spinning them round on the spot so they face away from her and then she jumps on their back grabbing them round the torso with both her arms and legs and then she beeps like a smoke alarm and explodes.

The move kills the enemy in one hit and after the flame effects clear she is nowhere to be seen, implying she is exploded. The strange thing is that then the victory animation plays with a marked absence of the character model.

So somehow she actually wins and she is just invisible and not dead somehow.

El Fuerte

El Fuerte has a cheat that makes him run in slow motion or should I say normal motion since he's basically fast forwarded when he does this anyway. He also has a secret move where he burns your face with the bottom of a frying pan that comes out of his trouser pocket. None of that move make any sort of sense if you think about it.

Rufus

Rufus apparently has a secret move where he throws you in the air and shoots you by firing a laser out of his finger. He also has a secret victory dance routine that can be unlocked by performing a cheat command.

next the 2 hidden bosses

Gouken

Gouken has the ability to perform Akuma's move where the screen blanks out and he beats the crap out of you. His version is even more powerful than Akuma's by the way.

He can also perform a fireball that comes from the edge of the screen behind the enemy that cannot be blocked by anyone facing away from it.

Gouki

Akuma has a secret move where he grabs the enemy around the waist and bites into their neck. The creepy thing is that this move looks almost sexual so I'm not surprised they hid it so well.

He also has a move which counters any of the freeze frame special move things and follows up with an excessively powerful palm strike that understandably launches the enemy into the other side of the screen.

next the actual boss

Seth

the fucking annoying boss ha a great move. He can turn into Abel for some reason and he can't reverse it. Only problem is that the character model has to load in play so you get some freaky moments as elements of his face are stretched half way across the level.

Also, his clothes keep dis appearing and reappearing throughout the match afterwards making him look like a shadow with normal hands, feet, head and chest.

next the normal characters

Dan

Dan apparently has the best secret moves ever. He has a secret version for each of his moves that is infinitely better than the original including a series of uppercuts in place of his taunt combo and his Gadoken still only travels about a foot away from him but it is excessively wide and powerful making any attempt to get near him massively disastrous.

He also has a move that can be performed during the freeze frame which makes him fall over backward making his dodge any freeze frame attack.

He also has a secret version of himself called "Green Dan" despite the fact you change his color and you can get a green outfit for the original. Green Dan has Dan's moves but better. He's sorta like a non-comical version of himself. Kinda like if he was just made as an alternative to Ryu and Ken.

His moves don't look so weird and gangly and they are actually practical and useful and he has Dan's special triple upper cut in place of the taunt.

Unfortunately "Green Dan" is only unlockable on the original Street Fighter 4 I've heard. Apparently they took him out when they made the Super version.

Dhalsim

Dhalsim has many strange and usually secret moves. Many think this is because he doesn't have any other kind of hidden bonus in the game other than his special attacks. Most of his secret moves involve him making knots in his body, inflating and deflating or growing extra limbs for some reason.

But the most fucked up few have to be:
-a hypnosis move which causes the enemy to dance against there will (each character has their own dance)
-his flame barrier which is where he sets himself on fire so any contact with him burns the other player
-his contortionist throws where he grabs onto the other player and twists and mangles them in some really painful looking positions
-and last but by no means least. a move where he grabs the enemy and teleports both himself and the enemy away but then returns without them. Where the hell did he take them? It automatically starts the winning animation after so we must assume the Dhalsim won somehow.

Barog

I can confirm that it indeed is not a myth. Balrog has a move where he chews on their ear. He also has a move that makes him suddenly wear a pimp outfit for about a second. Don't know what's going on there.

Blanka

When using Blanka you can perform a cheat which swaps the lightning and fire effects. Watching Blanka spontaneously combust and Dhalsim breathing lightning looks really fucking weird but it's damn fun.

Cammy

Cammy has a secret outfit similar to Juri and Juni and she also has an error that can be done that makes her character model get stuck in a de vinci pose that rotates around when she does any actions.

Chun-li

Apparently there is a way of making Sakura appear using Chun-Li's moves in her place. She is also wearing Chun-Li's original outfit. Just don't try to do the flip stomp move Chun-Li does with her or you'll crash the game.

E.Honda

He has a secret move where he palm strikes all around him at once and a move where he continuously falls through the ground like something from Portal. The good thing is that you can stop it at any time by releasing the attack button. Just try not to get E.Honda stuck in the ground.

Fei Long

Fei Long has an alternative color where he wears Bruce Lee's biker outfit and he also has a secret freeze frame move where he performs his charging combo with his hands on fire and follows it up with a single flying kick. The flying kick move has flames in the shape of a dragon traveling across his whole body with the head with open jaws at his foot end.

Gen

Gen has a move where he has a heart attack and collapses to the ground where he turns to dust and is blown away. The only problem is that the match still continues like he's alive but the model is gone and there is no way of getting rid of the remaining health bar unless you quit the match and try again.

Guile

For some reason Guile has alot of secret moves that are just stolen straight out of Chun-Li's book. He can do the upside down spinning splits move, the machine gun kick move and even her little double handed hadoken thing, weird.

Ken

Ken has a secret palm strike that sets the enemy on fire and can perform Dan's taunt combo.

M.Bison

There is a cheat that swaps Bison's smiles for frowns and vica-versa. Don't know why you would want to do that but there is also a secret move he can do that inverts the colors on the screen for 2 or 3 seconds. It is highly annoying so don't tell anyone about it unless you trust them not to keep doing the move over and over.

Rose

Rose has a cheat where her ribbon is invisible and she also has a secret move where she throws a random tarot card at the enemy which can one of many effects including swapping the health bars, healing them and very rarely an instant death.

Ryu

Ryu can very rarely fail his freeze frame move. Not so much a secret more of an error they forgot to take out. He also has a secret move where he fires a crescent shaped laser thing that goes round and round in orbit like the electrons path in that atom diagram. It hits the enemy in the direction it's going if it hits them and doesn't stop when it hits something. It just fades away about 10 feet from him.

Sagat

Everyone by now knows about the scarless Sagat outfit without the eyepatch but there is also a cheat that for some reason makes his character model upside down during the match including intro and winning animations and his freeze frame special.

Sakura

Apparently there is a cheat to remove Sakura's panties. Sounds like something Capcom would do. There is also a cheat that makes her gain 2 feet of height off the ground after every hurricane kick. Eventually she leaves the top of the screen and somehow dies instantly.

Vega

And again it is not a myth but their is a mirrored vega outfit that has 2 claws and two sets of snake tattoo. Although he still only ever uses the same one claw. If his claw gets knocked out of his hand the other claw miraculously disappears from the other hand and appears lodged diagonally through the other claw as it spins away in the air. And when you go to pick up the double claw vega only has one claw and one tattoo but his right forearm is now twice the length it was.

Zangief

There's a cheat that disables Zangief's throws and you can also unlock a secret picture gallery showing Zangief beating up Seth in many different ways.

And now the piece de resistance

Slave

a secret character exclusive to the non-super version of the game. Unfortunately the default outfit has no model so they are invisible but there is a cheat to swap his blank character model with that of any character. People say that Seth has about the right build so maybe the character was meant to be the original Seth.

He (since we can tell from the voice) has all his own moves but if you try to perform the freeze frame move the game crashes. To perform you do a 3/4 scroll of the d-pad/analogue (down->toward->up->away), then toward and heavy or medium punch. His moves mainly involve throwing you up into the air and then hitting you while you are airborne.

He also glows like he is lit from behind and casts light in his specials like some sort of DBZ guy.

Here i explain what i mean by the 'meat bastard'

I've had a few emails by people asking me what the hell a 'meat bastard' is. It's very simple really. A Meat Bastard is a sandwich, usually on white bread, that contains sausage, bacon and ham but no salad. Cheese is acceptable to add to it as well as any condiments, for example HP sauce, mayo, etc. but anything remotely healthy is not allowed including peas, corn, nuts, eggs, even fried ones, any kind of potato thing, even fries or crisps (potato chips in the USA) or pretty much anything other than meat but it must contain sausages, bacon and ham to be classified as a bastard sandwich.

The polar opposite of this is what they call the Christ Sandwich which is potato slices, coleslaw, rocket lettuce, sliced tomato, granary bread, some sort of beans i can't remember the name of, peas or pine nuts and no butter.

Another sandwich I know is called "Brut Dich". It's a baguette that has had a tunnel made through the center through which you can shove 1 of many kinds of sausages into it so it kinda looks like a sealed up hotdog. The trick is getting enough flavor in the sausage so that you don't need to add any sauces.

my ADD brother has just left the house presumably never to return. I am very happy. Not that I wish ill on him it's just that now I can get some peace and quiet at last. Whenever he isn't here everything is so mellow and the rest of us get along like glue. About Libya

There are many things you didn't know about Libya. To find out more read on.

For a start Libya is not a middle-Eastern country, it's a British state of Africa. That's right, it's fucking British. It comes under the state of Britain and officially takes orders from the UN and is part of the UN committee along with all the other major contributors. Knowing that fact is very important because it means that you can understand that it is not ruled by dictatorship for a start and it is not an independent nation and it is also a relatively wealthy nation not some barren desert country like Iraq or Iran.

Secondly President Muammar Gaddafi is not a colonel and that title is completely wrong. His project does not classify as a regime more of a military action. It was originally backed by the UN and they gave their consent to the motion at the UN meeting.

Next Gaddafi never said he would march on the town, search every house and force them out into Egypt like dogs. I have no idea where that speech has come from since none of the footage of his speeches say that. I got it translated by another British guy BTW and got it confirmed by a Japanese guy, an American, a German and a Chinese man. I am currently waiting for a Pakistani translation, Hindi, Thai, Russian, French, Italian, Spanish, South African, Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, Greek, Australian, Canadian and Brazilian. I can't get a Mexican one though so can someone help me with that.

Next Gaddafi removed his airforce immediately after the restricted air space was put in place and then removed his ground forces immediately when the ceasefire was called.

Then Lebanon put forward the motion with the absolute requirement that the UN did not take control of Libya. It was a direct message and they said that if these rules were broken that they would rally Russia against the UN.

In response the UN said they would not occupy the country but would do so in the coming years and that they would maintain restrictions of travel, traffic and resources after their actions and that the countries wealth and resources are now property of the allied nations opposing the Libya movement.

Lebanon has already started negotiations with Russia and China about the events in the meeting and have already set up trade agreements amongst themselves. For those that don't know, trade agreements are like the backhanders that governments give each other to concrete agreements.

Gaddafi basically lowered his arms and said that if the UN were to attack now it would be a symbol that the west cannot be trusted and that Lebanon should start making agreements amongst the new UN nations towards actions of rebellion.

Since the EU's take-over of the middle-east the middle-eastern countries have got faster trade, more wealth, more resources, better control of their resources and their own independent political control.

The middle-east also has strong trade arches with Russia who as well as a supplier of work-force and resources also have the capabilities of manufacturing arms and supplying limitless resources of nuclear weapons.

Pissing off the middle-east now would be the dumbest thing the UN could ever do and Gaddafi knows this. He deliberately laid down his arms as France was already on it's way to carpet bomb the Libyan capital.

A city by the way that has no military force capabilities as yet and is completely defenseless. This is deliberate so that if we were to attack them it would be seen as picking on the poor defenseless Libyan government.

Gaddafi has already handed over his military equipment to the UN but somehow I've just seen some footage of explosions going off in Libya. How the fuck has he done it without weapons of any sort?

Now Gaddafi can say that we have staged it and we are trying to frame him for war crimes and such. Watch the fuck out UN you don't know what you are dealing with here.

I have no doubt Gaddafi is the one who is in the wrong he just smacks me as everything our politicians do but he is a fucking clever man.

Gaddafi is no Saddam.

Saddam was a wordsmith and a visionary, he thought he could take the west head on and liked to talk with charm to his people to get them to like him.

Gaddafi is a politician.

He plays the political game, following all the rules as the game changes and exploits all the loopholes to make everyone else look bad make himself look like he's in the right.

The one thing preventing a nuclear cold war with the middle-east is that the middle-east trusts the UN.

The UN have already broken UN regulations to put forward the attacking motion toward Libya.

They already broke the stipulations of the agreement of the committee to bring forward the policy and their military actions.

And now they are proposing attacking a country that is technically at peace. Due to UN rules this classifies as an act of war.

Legally any nation that would like to take part is perfectly legally allowed to wage war on the UN due to their rule breaking and China has got the power to deny, refuse or discredit their policy and has the ability to count it as an illegal agreement and state that acting on it in itself is counted as a war crime.

Essentially the only thing stopping other nations from attacking the UN is the benefits made by an alliance but if the opinionated, allied, patriotic and righteous (that is contextually correct) middle-eastern governments decide to fight against the UN it could persuade other more powerful nations to take part.

The US has about 100 times the number of nukes as the next one down, Russia has about 10 times that and China has about twice what Russia has.

China and Russia are both allied with their disagreement of the UN's actions regarding both the agreement and their treatment of it's restrictions.

China doesn't want to make enemies of the US because they still have enough nukes to level China and Russia doesn't because the US has enough to take out all of Russia's major cities.

This is why the US is developing the rail gun. The rail gun is the only weapon that can defend against nukes. Despite popular myth there is no way a nuke that has already been launched can be stopped.

That is why no country has launched any so far.

If China gets some alliance with the middle-east they can amount a substantial force and force the western alliance to agree on their policies or face nuclear war.

That is a damn good enough reason not to launch an attack on Libya.

Libya is merely the guy who's goading the west into an attack. If we respond then they we lose favor with the east and that means making enemies with the 2 most powerful nations.

It would be stupid to wage war now even with good reason without explicitly making agreements with the Libyan government.

It's a ticking time bomb and Gaddafi is pouring petrol all over the thing while we are looking for somewhere to drop our match after lighting up.

Governments at it again

The world governments are treating the Japanese triple disaster in a very weird way

France and Germany benefit politically from the nuclear scare (nuclear power not nuclear weapons) so I'm not surprised they were the first to accuse Japan of mismanaging the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Interesting though that China the US and the UK did though. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be accusing the Japanese government unless there was some sort of benefit toward them. Everyone by now knows the UK and US government just love to screw everyone over so they can end up on top and buy out everyone.

I think the US is up to something. I don't know what yet but I'm sure the UK government will be backing them pointlessly again.

China I am surprised by because they initially sent lots of aid to Japan and would benefit greatly from their alliance but I think America might have persuaded China to back off and in response they went along with what America said.

I think the US might be trying to look like the good guys here jumping in to save victims and accusing the Japanese government.

A while ago Japan raised it's prices and the US had to take products built in Korea but thanks to Kim Jon Il or whatever his name is that wasn't possible either.

I think the idea is to get Japan back under US control by both appealing to the public and undermining the government but to be honest the government hasn't actually betrayed anyone.

The government has been completely honest with the information they have been given and despite the fact the radiation level is 40 times higher than befre that is still more than 1,000 times less than the dose needed to cause any kind of harm. Fukushima has less than 1/30th the radiation level of The Lake District BTW. The Lake District is a nation park here in the UK for those that don't know.

If anyone has been lying it is more likely to be the power company involved not the government. They would certainly have nothing to benefit from lying.

Reactors 1 & 2 did not explode. The cooling water became too hot and separated into hydrogen and oxygen. It then ignited and exploded but the reactors are still very much intact.

Rector 3 however didn't explode it was another hydrogen explosion like reactor 1 & 2 but it did break the seal on the reactor causing a huge amount of radiation to be leaked into the atmosphere.

Reactor 4 though is a ticking time bomb. The cooling system isn't working and the water supply has run out. If they don't get the pumps working again soon it will go into full meltdown.

They are already saying that reactor 4 is in the first stages of meltdown. The core is melting as we speak and that means that the reactor is about to blow.

It's now getting to the point where it may very well go tits up.

Everybody by now knows that nothing happens slowly on the Well but this thing I've just heard about sure took it's time to come about this time.

First a little history lesson.

The Well, AKA Sanrioero, formerly PussyFoot, formerly Puppy Paws was founded as a roughly furry related generic stuff discussion forum. After joining forces with the axis of evil, the perverted subs collective, mainly because no-one wanted them they quickly rose to power as the non-porn affiliate of the worst porn sites in the Sparkian empire.

After SaikoKitty was subjected to fucked up shit every day she began to lose her resistance and disgust for weird shit and begun to like it.

Then changing the site's name, purpose and overall design to a new cause she made PussyFoot, which eventually became PussyPaws, a fetish site focused around sponge fetishism, which was the latest trend at the time.

Aided by P+S or P&S at the time their hyperactive typoholic members that hung around from before made PussyPaws or PCP/z for short a whopping success among the porn subs of the now separate of the empire Monster Site.

At this point a fansite ironically with the same name PuppyPaws turned up and confused everyone.

Somewhere along the way SaikoKitty met up with her old friend from PuppyPaws still named Mumrick who had made a big success with SPA, which was the original home of PuppyPaws at one time.

Together they formed a new porn site called Sanrioero which following the immediate affiliation with PussyPaws acquired all their members and pretty much no-one else at the time.

Almost immediately after its creation a non-porn equivalent of the site called Wishinoero began but it's popularity was never that strong due to the already existent SPA being basically the same damned thing.

The site cut its ties with its younger brother Wishinoero and proclaimed itself to be a generic cute stuff site that unlike SPA would accept anything that came along.

At this point TMS stated that they are shutting down their whole social network and only adding to a generic porn search engine on request.

Members came flooding in their 1000s to The Well to post on their forum instead and this lead to The Well being a highly successful, highly active porn site.

Unfortunately the servers couldn't handle the pressure of this added to a whole new integrated system and structure that sucked up processing power like some sort of cyber Baltic squid and the Sparkian Empire had to find a new webhost.

The new host brought new members and a hell of a lot of traffic but thankfully it also brought better modding tech and more admins.

About this time someone new to not only the empire but also the webhost posts pedophilia on The Well.

Everyone is shocked and horrified and the guy is reported to the authorities and obviously banned without any question what-so-ever.

It didn't however bring any stigma to the empire because years before the first PuppyPaws site existed the empire had already had false allegations of being a pedophilic website that were cleared up in court.

Even though the prosecutors admit wholeheartedly that they were completely in the wrong and that they made a mistake when you get an accusation like that it is very difficult to shake that name.

Google still refuses to add our site to their search engine and even though there have been lawsuits they still haven't done anything.

Anyway. For once somebody actually did post pedophilia on the site and even when they were caught and action was taken within 15 seconds of their post the word spread and now The Well has a dark name about it.

The Well had always been rather dodgy allowing toon porn and such and also allowing some fairly risque talk about children.

Their policy of touch but don't taste was seen as just baiting perverts to post illegal content.

So the ever-active mods of the well changed the rules. And boy did they ever change. You can't even speak the word child even when not talking about anything sexual without the mods asking what you are doing.

The site was divided into 2 sections. A porn section and a non-porn section and if you ever mentioned anyone below the age of 21, even if it was just about your family life the mods would jump on you and start asking questions and that is in the non-porn section.

It became known as Nazitopia due to how strict the mods had become and a lot of the members from the good old days started leaving.

I kinda joined the site about this point and I strictly stuck to the non-porn section like glue. The porn-legal section was still filled with weird shit even if it was legal.

The personalities of the two sites are very different. The two sides hate each other and there are constant flame wars, usually with the mods choosing the less popular non-porn side in the arguments. That of course causes a lot of ill feeling against everyone in general.

The porny side is filled with a lot of very open people who are very creative and like to live life to the fullest.
However
The non-porn side is full of grammar Nazis and nerds and they never have anything interesting to say except the occasional criticism.

In the porn filled section a very non-porn topic arose. It was a discussion about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Obviously being on the non-porn side I knew nothing about it until I saw pics of the show elsewhere.

So I asked around and they said that there was a massive topic on the porny side that had been going for months and was really good. After being reassured there was no porn in the topic I decided to risk it.

That was how I got into MyLPFiM (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) and they were right BTW. There is no porn in that topic for some reason well at least there wasn't any at the time.

Now there was a member called BredUndZurbMon who was an old member of the site and had been there since PussyFoot I think.

I knew her well and we'd been mates before but had stopped keeping in touch before I joined the Well.

As a member of the well I talked to her a bit but nothing really friendly, just like another member really.

Anyway, she is well known for posting her own custom fetish called "unfoaling" as she calls it. It's basically unbirthing or vaginal vore but with a few minor diffs.

I saw her weird art and twisted anigifs when TMS was still part of the spark cluster and you often got sent to things you thought would be related and safe and often ended up getting an eyeful of some fucked up porn by mistake. Honestly, what was I supposed to think "Born Again" meant.

It usually happens because someone posting in a porn forum posts an ambiguous title that makes sense in context but people forward to similar topics inside other topics and at the time there was no way of telling what category that thing belonged to except for the occasional post that told you what the link was about.

Anywho BredUndZurbMon or BnZ for short was one of the first to post porn in the topic. It was in the porn section after all. She posted unfoaling BTW. No surprise there.

But she said she was going to post art of The Cutie Mark Crusaders (the child characters of the show) and that was obviously not allowed. She was formally warned over and over but she posted it anyway and was banned.

But just before she was banned a small group of members that had been members of The Well for a very long time got all up in arms about the persecution (as they saw it) of people who wanted to post perfectly legal but risque art, their words not mine.

As these guys haven't broken the rules themselves the mods didn't ban them but they have been campaigning against the strict modding every day and they are gathering a bit of popularity.

Most members don't like the way the mods are so strict and I for one agree with them. I'm not gonna post any toon porn so you needn't worry but as you know I'm a sucker for lost causes.

I don't think it's fair how the members are being treated. I don't think they should bring BnZ back like everyone's saying because those were the rules and she broke them so fair dues. But I don't want the mods breathing down my neck whenever I'm discussing Noddy or Keroro Gunsou either.

Sorry to sit on the fence here but I neither promote nor condone the entirety of either sides views.

If they wanna post risque content then feel the wrath of the mods but the mods should take a damn chill pill and only start harassing those who have done anything wrong in the first place.

Politicians are at it again. What is their problem?

France and Germany backed by India and the UK and just maybe the US have started to throw their weight around following the disaster in Japan and the civil war of Libya. India has been sucking up money like nobodies business but it seems all that money is going straight into the hands of their leaders and Thailand for one is not very happy. They are forming bonds with the Hindu states and making ill feeling toward Pakistan.

The UK BTW is fiddling the books and money-pooling but it has hit the government back in the face and caused currency to lose value. However the mint or whatever we call it has issued gold currency which will revalue the loss and boost our wealth if it goes into circulation.

If the UK ever manage to conquer Dubai the wealth will go up exponentially but without it the currency will sub-value revaluing the alloy coins. Businesses in high positions with flow the stock in proportion to the wealth of gold causing a doubly revalued wealth meaning that the general public will fall into relative poverty whilst the rich will just stockpile money.

CRAFTY BUGGERS!

Essentially, to stop yourself from doubly devaluing your money you will have to keep track of both the GNP exchange rate of the euro to the pound and then the price of gold relative to the gold currency. Get it wrong and you will be very poor indeed.

Then there's the US who have used the fucked up stock balance from the recent Japan disaster to send profit into the hands of the trade capital which BTW is the US. Expect badly made American products to be sold under Japanese names like Toyota or Sony Electronics.

OK. Now it's a nuclear disaster

Been talking to my mates and stuff and it seems the general consensus is that Reactor 3 has exploded. Opinions differ on whether the blast destroyed the reactor or whether it only broke its seal but even the experts on our site say it has all the trademarks of a nuclear blast.

When the building housing reactor 1 exploded it simply blew out the sheet metal walls and fired smoke and dust out to the sides a little. The explosion was roughly spherical and the shockwave was slow and progressive and dispersed quickly. This was not at all like a nuclear blast. More like the kind of blast that petrol, alcohol or explosives would make.

When reactor 3 blew up it couldn't have been more different.

The shockwave was mainly subterranean raising earth as it shook through the ground. The air pulse was fast, sudden and dispersed gradually. There was a lot more fire and a lot more smoke and finally the cloud was super hot and rose quickly producing the classic mushroom shape.

I think reactor 3 has exploded on a nuclear level. The reactor was very difficult to locate from above and from what I could make out, either the top of the reactor has blasted off or it's intact and has left a distinctive super heated blast mark. Either way that means the explosion was nuclear.

The framework has been blasted out too. The force of the blast must have been incredible. I'm not surprised at all that the generator pumps have been taken out. I'd be expecting to find people have been hurled through the air while working on the other 2 reactors.

Saw some riot footage

Footage is misleading

Wherever the footage was of I think it was Libya but there were a whole bunch of protesters standing behind a guard rail and then the riot police charge in and attack them. Can't see too good what happened from the aerial shot but it looked like one officer started to beat some poor guy around the head all by himself while the others watched and then when the crowd grabbed his arm the rest charged in and started to fight. Can't see well what happened next but then the police fire a few grenade launcher blasts and then all the protesters start running. As they run one police officer shoot a guy square in the base of his spine with a gas grenade and he falls to the ground dragging himself away from the cops apparently paralyzed from the waist down.

The cop who attacks first has a different build to the rest (more average) he's also distinctly different in height, has a different skin tone and he's not their chief. Don't what that means if anything but I'm just saying the guy's whole personality and attitude looks distinctly out of place there. He looks Western to me probably American or British whereas the rest look Middle-Eastern.

Just saw some new footage of the Japanese tsunami. There's a picture of a car on a roof in one of the pictures but I got my guys to take a look at it.

For a start the cars wheels are strapped to a ramp like the ones you see land rovers resting on car show rooms. Secondly the ramp is fitted to the roof with no apparent damage to it. Almost like it was built into the building before the damned disaster. The building itself isn't strong enough to support the weight of a car and the water mark on the walls of the building doesn't reach the roof.

And now for some awesome stuff I saw on the net. In one clip a car is seen driving away from the Tsunami as water chases it. The camera follows it driving away into the distance for a while before the guy with camera has to move because the room is filling with water.

In another piece of footage it's hard to see but a bus does a powerslide uphill around a hairpin bend to escape the tsunami. I tell you what, that is probably the most awesome thing I've ever seen. For a start a bus doing a powerslide is badass enough but to do it uphill around a hairpin bend is truly awesome and the only thing that could make that more awesome is if he/she was being chased by a tsunami at the time and they were.

The worst problem facing Japan at this time is that multiple power stations have stopped working and all the power lines are down in the Tsunami zone. If Japan stops working for even a few seconds it could effect international trade worldwide. Japan has some of the most advanced tech on the planet and the trade network since 911 has used Tokyo as it's base because of it's fantastic track record and technical capabilities.

In fact it has been mainly because of them that the trade network has been able to recover so well from the recession. Without it we would have worldwide poverty.

The fucked up thing is that the trade center was attacked in 911 and a failed attempt to destroy the back-up finance registry machine in the pentagon was made at the same time. Following that the trade network was partnered with London and it was bombed and now the new trade center looks like it's gonna lose power down to a Tsunami on the power lines.

Faked Libya footage

And now onto the reports about Libya. I don't know nor care what is going on over there but people know by now my feelings about the Iraq war. For those who don't I'll summarize. It wasn't our war, we had nothing to do with it and regardless of whether or not 911 was an inside job what the fuck has it got to do with us in the UK. 911 was a great disaster I know but we had no reason to attack a country that wasn't involved with it for no good reason and then put our people in charge after taking them over and forwarding all their oil over here so we don't have to start using our energy resources properly.

The bit which confused the fuck out of me was this new footage I just saw on the news. I got a guy to translate it and I'm fucking confused now. The footage shows a bunch of guys with cars with guns on running from an explosion and then sticking their fingers up in a peace sign at the screen. What they said though was fucking confusing and makes me wonder what the fuck the footage really was. I can't translate the whole video because it's cut to fuck but this is roughly what is said.

"Here we are at the something something gun show something something get ready for the show". Then there is an explosion "Run! Ah! Run! What the fuck?! What the fuck happened! Look out!". Then a piece of debris falls and narrowly avoids hitting a guy on the head "SHIT!". Then the footage cuts to some guys shouting at the camera "My car! Look at my car! This is your fault! Get the fuck out of here! Watch your back fucker! Wanker! Wanker! See you wanker!" and they drive off. Then it cuts to them peace signing "Peace! Peace! We want peace! Don't blow up! What the fuck is wrong with you?! You could have killed someone! Peace! We want peace! Peace! Fucking Americans! Turn the camera off you freak!".

Now from that you can make your own decisions but it sounds to me like some guy blew up a gun convention and claimed it as a rebel attack or something. It is very strange.

Something funny about the disaster

Now don't kill me til you've read this through.

Everybody by now knows about the Earthquake & Tsunami in Japan and for me it is very shocking because I actually know people who live in Japan but thankfully none of them live near an area that has been that badly effected. Most of them just say that their house swayed back and forth and that heard all kinds of things in the news. What worries me though is that one of my friends isn't answering and no-one I know has had contact with them since the event. As far as I know she lives nowhere near the disaster but the lack of info scares me.

However, Japan has handled the disaster fantastically and I'm very proud to be so close to their country in their way of life and such. It has all gone fantastically well for a disaster, a million times better handled than the one in India. An absolutely fantastic job and it really puts the Pakistani government to shame. Sorry if that offends but you can't deny how well the Japanese have handled this.

But the weird thing is that Japan has handled the disaster so damn well that there isn't that much for the news to report about so they've started to twist the details to make it sound more exciting. I shouldn't laugh but some of the things they've said are really funny.

To start with I think I'll explain the biggest bugbear i have and that's the power plant thing.

The nuclear power plant disaster has been the biggest non-event of the whole thing. They keep talking about Chernobyl and how big a disaster that was and how the plant exploded and how it isn't working and so on.

Let me explain something to you. The reactors at this moment and I mean at the moment of typing this are fine. They are a little out of control but they have not exploded and so far they are stable enough to keep delaying a meltdown for quite a while. And before anyone asks because I know there are a lot of stupid people out there who will think this, I don't work for the Japanese government or the power company or any fucker who would benefit from lying you dumb bastards.

The reactor didn't explode like everyone has assumed by the way the news covered it. The building the reactor was in exploded because it is full of flammable materials and the building itself was frazzling hot from the heat the reactor is giving off. Remarkably the reactor itself is intact and still sealed and they are still trying to cool it down.

If the reactor really did blow up there would be a hell of a lot of fire and a huge blast. It is easy to tell that the reactor is fine by the pitifully small blast that happened to the building. Have you seen footage of a nuclear blast? Even if it's a reactor and not a bomb it blows a hell of a lot bigger than that. The framework was intact for gods sake.

EDIT:
I just saw some footage of the destroyed building on the power plant complex in Japan and thanks to my GCSE science lessons I was able to identify the reactor in the wreckage and it was just sat there right in the middle perfectly intact. Now that is fucking funny.

And as for the 160 people who may have been irradiated out of the 200,000 people who live near the plant maybe the 150 people working to stop the plant from going into meltdown might have something to do with that number eh?

Then there was this bit which made me lol. The Japanese have sent in a rescue team of Tsunami specialists 15,000 people strong. That is a fucking huge number but what made laugh was what we said about it, we have sent in 159 rescue workers to help. How are they gonna be any kind of help at all. 15,000 tsunami specialist rescue workers plus 159 generic rescue workers from England. Surely they would be much better help here and that is not being racist.

Japan can handle itself just fine. There are more rescue workers than people even effected by the disaster. 159 members of rescue teams would be much better in a country that only has about 200 yano like us for example. It's just jumping on the band wagon to a damned stupid degree.

I've been trying to avoid vore artists because a lot of people think I'm into that sort of thing because of all the vore artists I know. If anyone else sends me any more perverted shit I'm gonna zero their asses. I'm not into that shit. Yes I find it fascinating but for gods sake stop ending me porn god damnit. I think it's a cool idea but I think anything unusual is a cool idea. It just so happens that half the really weird and cool shit on the net is pornographic. I look at other shit guys. I'm not a freak. I just like weird stuff of any nature. I find it fascinating when I see a guy with four legs or jet powered bicycle or yes even balloon porn. It weird and unusual but it's interesting and if I have to look at porn to find anything new, strange or intriguing on the net then I will. I don't care about the implications and associations of the stuff I look at. It's just mind food. I need to see new things and learn new facts. If that means looking at perverted art then I'll do it but I'm not interested in any of that stuff. I don't give a shit how much you like it or any kind of mythology or shit I just like what I like. I don't like most of the damned stuff. It's just every so often I see something I like and think "Hey, I wonder what this is about" and "I'd like to see more of this". Just found out that insomniacs take a drug called something-something vapor. It is basically the same as marijuana and it is a legal narcotic for the express purpose of aiding insomniacs the relax and meditate. The buzz name for it is vaps i think and it is illegal to traffic it to anyone who is not on prescription of course.

Apparently most of the members of this site post while high so that's why the posts make absolutely no sense. Why do we need to legalize marijuana when the same stuff is available on prescription anyway.

Throughout the video he tries to unplug his headphones and the music still plays, then he tries to get his headphones off and in the end he manages but then he can hear the music without them and everyone is dancing to the beat in the streets. Don't know where to find the vid. It was a long time ago.

Wow it's been a long time since I actually made a game. It's been 10 years, 10 years. Can you believe that?

Well I've had fun and all but it's time to get serious. I need to dedicate myself to finishing Albion.

A prototype would be so easy to make right now but I'm getting itchy feet. I wanna see something and I just can't wait and go through the normal means.

So I'm gonna start work on some horribly ugly looking 3D models and animate them and stuff.

Means I'm gonna have to start learning how to program hardcore again. I've been too damn lazy in my work. Mod a little here, PHP a little there. Now I'm going straight into Lingo and making something.

Boardome's board and card games first I think and then Blocks crazy Tetris shit.

Making them in 3D would be a good test of my skill.

Then maybe a racing game/tank game/dogfight game/combat driving game etc.

Prolly work on some basic platformers then.

And then maybe an RPG or something.

After that I'll work on the big guns and get a 3D prototype on the way.

Don't be upset if it ends up looking like Tomb Raider 1 though.

GIO is a good one for practicing the engine elements.

Once the collision detection, physics and basic character types and their skills are complete the rest should be pretty easy if a little time-consuming.

Level, Character & Action customization will make the rest the components easy with some sort of structure and basis to work on.

I have some raw designs that are easy as pie to work with and adapt and there's enough of a plot and enough knowledge about everything to keep going to completion.

Everything sounds good.

Now to start work on some basic game I can prog.

For a start most peeps by now know of my love/hate relationship with the Street Fighter series. I've played almost every game and there have been great ones and ones that make me want to burn Capcom's game studios. A lot of Street Fighter's games have had parts that make you go 'awesome!' and parts that make you just vomit. And for those uneducated people SNK and Capcom have a rivalry that has been going for years. SNK were first on the scene and made pretty much all the side scrolling fighters ever most of which America never released in their country and since we get their hand-me-downs we didn't get any of them either. I'm English BTW. Capcom was a low budget company that was trying to steal SNK's market and had failed to do so for years. However, when they took half the stuff out of their side scrolling fighter they inadvertently created a new genre, which has been popular world-wide ever since. In response SNK took the same elements out of their side scrolling fighters and made some of the best fighting games ever made even by today's standards. After Capcom started putting all their characters from all their other game series into Street Fighter SNK did the same but changed the title of their series from Art of Fighting to King of Fighters and so the long rivalry began.

I have to start with Street Fighter 1 i just have to OK. It was a pretty shit game. It was kinda like Fatal Fury but really really shit. Like a shit copycat of a great game series, which is exactly what the game was. Next there was Street Fighter 2 and boy that game couldn't be any different. SF2 was a fantastic game and I loved it. It was the first fighting game I ever played and it seriously rocked. OK the response was a little slow but the timing was great, the AI was great, the characters were so well designed, it played so beautifully and some of the fights you could get up to with your friends even by today's standard were just legendary.

Then it all went to fuck. They made that crappy Turbo game, which was just the same damned game but faster and with different color schemes for your characters. There is no way in hell I would have paid full fucking price for that shit. I might buy it if I hadn't bought the first SF2 but who in their right mind would have bought both. Then there was Super Street Fighter 2. Rather than make a new game they just added characters but I can't complain. The characters they added were alright. Dee Jay and Fei Long are still good and they are as worthy of being Street Fighter characters as any of the originals.

Then there was Alpha and this really showed where the series was headed. Rather than make a sequel they made a prequel and they started fucking around with the character's moves. They introduced Adon, Cammy & Tomahawk and even though Cammy was alright if a bit weird and disjointed in her moves the other 2 were just fucked. Adon was like a Street Fighter 1 character and all of those guys were seriously fucking annoying and Tomahawk had 2 moves an aerial move that charged downward and a standing move that charged upward. Every other move he does is completely useless. And even though Cammy's moves are nice and balanced, she has that stupid cannon ball move that travels across the whole screen and throws you. It's unavoidable and unstoppable and it's in every damned game.

Then after a few hits and misses came Street Fighter EX which had some great new characters but all the old characters played really strangely. Essentially it was like a whole new fighting game by Capcom with the original Street Fighter cast as extras in it. It didn't ever seem like a Street Fighter game and they would have done so much better if they just declared it as a new game series and left Street Fighter out of it. I'm not saying that Street Fighter didn't and couldn't convert to 3D well because just look at the King of Fighters Maximum Impact series, that converted brilliantly. But somehow when they made SFEX they tried to reinvent Street Fighter and the result was just terrible. If they just made Street Fighter in 3D it would have been fine but they just had to screw with the programming and characters.

After that came Street Fighter 3 and by this point we all thought it was gonna be another Street Fighter Alpha but surprise surprise Street Fighter 3 was actually really fucking good. It was so well balanced, well designed and well made it brought a tear to my eye. I felt like I had a son that had all grown up. No longer was their any daft ideas, bad design techniques and a game programming budget that would make B-movies look like they were made in fort knocks. I felt that Street Fighter had finally matured and I could at last rest in peace but then IT happened.

Old habits die hard and after making one of the best games I've ever played they decided to make slight adaptations bit by bit and charge you full price for each one. I was almost tempted to buy third strike but I will not tolerate such an underhand scheme to drain me of my money. Fair enough when they made Street Fighter 2 they kept adding bits but each time it was because they had just made that extra bit just then. With Street Fighter 3 they had made all the components of Third Strike but decided to give it to you in dribs and drabs so you had to pay full price multiple times.

FUCK THAT!

I think that was when I lost what remaining faith I had in the Street Fighter series as a whole. Fuck Capcom and fuck their asshole marketing team that they are so damn proud of.

And now to Street Fighter 4. Fair enough I expected the game to be terrible and judged it before I played it but I always give every game I have another chance and I couldn't resist seeing what the new Street Fighter had to offer.

It begins

First of all I was told Dee Jay, a new character called Hakan and Yun & Yang from Street Fighter 3 were going to be in this game and that the characters were totally complete and finished. So imagine my surprise when I found out that Capcom had lied to me. none of them were in the damned game. I got the game given to me by my brother who had bought the game so luckily i didn't have to pay a thing but I would have bought it. It's only after I found that they were planning to release the characters in the next Street Fighter 4 extension pack or game as Capcom like to call it.

I played through on easy to unlock my fav character Fei Long but ironically I had unlocked all but 2 of the character by then. That's when I found that they had changed half the character's moves in the game. Some moves that used to be pretty easy to pull off were replaced with stupid combinations like diagonal 3 quarter scrolls and hold a diagonal direction and then after a second hold another diagonal direction at 90 degrees to it. I wondered why they would do something so stupid and it didn't really hit me until I was talking to my Japanese friend and he called it Street Fighter EX.

Eyup, they are the controls from Street Fighter EX. The damned controls that sucked real bad when I played that game and lead me to use every character other than the Street Fighter ones in that game. Why bring back those controls. Everyone unanimously hated them. They were stupid, they made no sense and they were damn near impossible to perform in combinations. I can't begin to tell you how aggravating it was when I was using a character and they accidentally did some stupid useless move instead of a special or just do a punch instead of my ultra combo.

And I know this is going to sound like I'm being picky but I can't stand the zig-zag style scrolling to perform half the moves in Street Fighter. I don't think anyone who plays the game can intentionally get a shoryuken right every time. I bet most players, even the best keep doing hadouken attacks instead. It's a really unreliable system. But in the Street Fighter EX games your timing has to be so damned perfect it sickens me. And this game is no different. I can't tell you how many times i had to hold away for about a second before pressing toward and have my guy just do a heavy punch instead.

I tried slower and faster performances of the moves but I had to be so exact it was stupid. One millisecond out of place or just one tiny creep into a diagonal and my character just stood there and did all the wrong moves. I'm no button-basher but the controls of this game are retarded to say the least.

The new characters are alright. There's not really anything wrong with them except for Seth. Seth is just a great big pile of cheats and no substance. Anyone who uses Seth always wins and he's a bastard to kill because he just cheats constantly. Very very bad character design Capcom. Make more bosses like M.Bison instead because at least he's a decent character.

The challenge mode was fun but I could tell they have no sense of how difficulty should work in a game. It suddenly jumps from you Ultra-comboing everyone who stands in your way and getting 12 straight perfect victories to suddenly every enemy you fight using their slowest most time-consuming special moves and defending like a maniac while you are on a time limit.

The weird thing with this game is that the game really doesn't allow much room for cheating. It's pretty damn hard to cheat in this game and most times you have epic battles of skill but you can tell that the AI is trying it's damnedest to cheat like a maniac. When I get to the boss fight it must think that it's its birthday or something.

When I had unlocked all but 2 characters and done all the easy missions in the challenge I wondered why the hell have I not unlocked Akuma yet. So I looked it up online. It said that to unlock the last characters I had to get so many perfects. Not a problem, I can do that. But then it said I hadn't to lose 1 match. For most characters that sounds pretty fair but that would mean I'd have to beat Seth without dying once.

At that point I thought 'well fuck that' and decided to play a better game.

I just hope that I can get Super Street Fighter 4 cheap because I don't want Capcom getting any of my money. Even by proxy.

Got this game and gave it a review

I've decided to change my opinion of this game. I initially thought it was a bad game but after playing it for a bit I'm starting to understand it a little better. I'll keep my original content below but I'm adding the positives to the bottom.

Sound

It sounds like a damned SNES game. Some of the music sounds pretty cool but others sound like they were made by Nintendo on an Atari. The voices creeped me out at first but I soon got used to it. I'm kinda used to the old school voices and when the TV screamed like there was a guy shouting 2 feet in front of me it freaked me out. I can't really complain but it sounded weird. Not at all like a fighting game just more like some guy yelling at the top of his lungs. The sound effects are fucking terrible. In places they use white noise to make gravel sounds and some sounds sound like a washing machine on full spin. And don't get me started on the fire sound effects. In places it sounds like some dude growling into the microphone.

Yeah, the sound sucks. I can't add any positive comment about this but in its defense you don't notice it all that much while playing it. The sound is rather sharp and harsh and very crackley and the voices they chose for the characters could not be more wrong. The voice acting is terrible it sounds like a bad impersonator or something and I swear Adelheid's voice actor forgot his lines. A lot of the sounds in the game are way too quite or soft for the sheer whollop the characters are getting. One of the quietest moves takes off half your health. I can't defend the sound in this game it is just awful. And it's really off-putting too. You can't tell how badly you are getting hurt and it's difficult to tell if you've been hit at all.

Graphics

Yes the backgrounds look really pretty in 3D but my god the sprites look like ass. Now I am a veteran of all the old SNK arcade games so I've seen some shit but I think I can say with justification that this game has the cheapest looking sprites of any SNK game I have ever seen and I've played almost every one so far. The character portraits and cut scenes look very nice even if the art style is a little strange. But why spend so much graphics on animations and make the actual fighting look like shit. Seriously it is bad and you don't realize how bad until you start playing it.

In its defense you can see where the characters are really easily I find. It is a lot easier to play for a beginner that way. I can see everything very clearly even if it does offend my eyes. I guess the graphics is better from the perspective of playing it rather than viewing it.

Characters

Most of the decent characters are there so there's not much to complain about here but some of the new characters look and act like they were designed by children. They look stupid, they play stupid and they act stupid. I'm not that bothered though because at least they did a half decent job here unlike Capcom, Tekken or Soul Caliber has done with their game series. I guess you have to take the rough with the smooth.

Everything I said there is true. I can't add anything more positive neither say anything against it. New characters are stupid but at least you get to play all the old characters still.

Gameplay

It plays OK there isn't anything wrong with it and in today's word that's a Godsend. All the old characters play the same and they have screwed around with their moves, their controls or their timing like every other fighting game has. Essentially SNK know when they have a good thing and they know that if it aint broke don't fix it. A strategy that meant that SNK has had very few bad games but many games that just aren't great. Most of their games are above the competition but if you look at the competition it's more of a case of every other series has got a lot worse and KOF has stayed steadily the same for years.

I cannot add to what I have said here. The gameplay plays like any other KOF game in that it just works without any annoying new features or half-baked ideas. And as always the dodge system on KOF and its unique countering system make the fights tough, fun and great for practicing advanced skills. I'm not a marketing guy and I've not been told to plug this game series. King of Fighter's fighting system just works plain and simple and I think it's a model a lot of other games could learn from, especially Street Fighter.

I originally this part when I played it on easy and gave it a bad review. On hard it couldn't be any more different. So I've rewritten this section accordingly.

Easy difficulty plays like Street Fighter. At some points my character was being mashed into a bloody pulp in the corner of the screen and no amount of counters or dodging would help, but the worst part was that after pressing continue the difficulty swung so far in the opposite direction I could put the pad down and the enemy would just jump around the screen and leave me alone for the rest of the time even when I'd almost perfected them.

However on hard it was fucking awesome and the matches lasted right up to the bell with both of us dodging, countering and performing specials like the world was gonna end and we were the ones to end it with our epic battles.

On easy the mid-boss just stood there and every time I tried to get close he would hit me away with his weakest special. It got really annoying as he slowly chipped away my health of all three of my characters.

When I bumped the difficulty up to hard I got a lot fairer enemies. Not only was it tougher to hurt them, it was tougher for them to hurt me. I dunno why but easy plays like Street Fighter and hard plays like some souped up Dragonball Z shit. I was literally having countering battles that went on until the time ran out, seriously. This game is hardcore but only on hard.

Anyway, there's an option to reduce the difficulty when you lose. Somehow they fight a lot fairer and somehow a lot tougher when you use it, go figure.

My guess is that they couldn't adapt anything they already got without making things worse so they kept the things they knew worked and added some 3D graphics to shut the fans up but at the expense of the graphics in the foreground. I also think they tried to rerecord all the voices with their new tech but did a really bad job at it and they tried to make some new characters but didn't really try that hard.

At least they kept the important stuff in the game and didn't screw around with it. I really enjoyed playing the game and I'd much rather play it than Street Fighter 4. For anyone who likes Street Fighter, don't get this game, it's not a button-masher but for those that like skillful fighters like Kengo you'll love this.

Since Beans started becoming popular she started getting a little obsessed and power mad. When the Babysitting episode of MLP:FiM was about to be aired she came up with the idea of 'unfoaling' the Cutie Mark Crusaders in various ways.

The Well has a strict no kiddie porn policy, which is very much hated by a lot of its members. They see it as cowardice or trying to please the masses. As such many members do break these rules and get banned for it.

Beans managed to bend the rules by using real footage of animal birth and playing it backward. The mods don't really count it as sexual so it slipped through. However Beans new art would be breaking the rules.

Rotten is a member of The Well who posts photos of surgery and corpses. Excessive gore is not a rule breaker but he actually gets off on it. However he is strictly forbidden on making anything sexual out of the footage (officially).

Rotten is very much hated by everyone throughout the entire Doomsday Empire and everyone, even the really bad perverts call him a freak.

Maybe its just me but Beans plots for the Babysitting episode are a bit too far IMO.

Go speak with Rotten you freak I'm sure he'll gladly oblige.

OK, I keep getting mail asking me to explain my last few posts so I'm going to explain them all now. That is, the messages from this one to my first combo contribution of MLP which happens later. This is the added text.

The Well is a website I visit. It used to be part of a collection of websites know together as The Doomsday Empire. The Well was originally started as a porn site for toon stuff but has since become a more general site about anything really as long as it's not technical or depressing.

However, Beans set it upon herself to do this for every character combination and after 30 or 40 comics it was just getting ridiculous. That's why we made a topic asking her to stop. These pics are from that topic.

The caption reads 'Whinnie UFoffUFa', which is Wellian (the native tongue of The Well) for 'We need You to Fuck off Unfoaler'. The joke is that it is written in a way which makes it sound like horse noises if pronounced correctly.

This caption however is a lot more blunt but less offensive. It reads 'Wii =D U 2 5 @', which is Wellian for 'We need you to go now'.

The Decision

I thought long and hard about it and I've finally decided on my fav character. Now I will regale to you about all the thought that went into the decision. If you wanna skip the text scroll to the bottom.

First of all I had to see whether any characters other than the main six would be anywhere in the top list. Skipping all the ones that had one line or less and were generally unimportant without excluding any that have become popular via internet left me with a large selection. Of that came the following.

Bon-Bon & Lyra have had a good deal of fandom but personally they have not produced the kind of fanstuff or footage, etc that particularly interests me. It's good for some folk but not me. The same can be said about Doctor Hooves, Cheerilee, Vinyl Scratch and pretty much any of the side characters anyone's heard of. It's nothing personal but I like certain things and I can't see them fitting that category.

But that lead me to a dangerous decision. Do I keep Derpy in my top favs. I decided that Derpy would be up there with the main characters so I left this for now.

Then there are the part-time appearance characters. These are ones that are important to the plot and play a main role in an episode or two. Plus they say whole streams of dialogue and not just one line. That is why the Wonderbolts are not in this category.

This includes Gilda, Trixy, Luna, Celestia, Snail and a few more. Although these are all great characters and everything I'll have to state that they are just not for me. Most are fairly one-dimensional and i could have pretty much written their lines and actions in the script off the top of my head. But that's OK because they are here to develop the important characters in the show. I have nothing against them but they were main characters I can tell you now that they would not go far before people got bored of the characters simplicity.

They serve a purpose but it's just not an adaptable enough, well-rounded enough character for me to bond with so I'll have to say no.

Zecora & Apple Bloom however have potential but I imagine Zecora would get old fast if used too much. Apple Bloom's character is a well-used one but that doesn't mean it's not adaptable. So I decided to leave that for later.

Apple Bloom

She's a very nice character but i think she's just not mature enough to have a rounded enough personality. Compared to what's left she is a great character and there is so much potential but I really can't do much with her. It's not that there's anything wrong with her but me personally I couldn't really develop her as a persona. That's not because there's anything wrong with the character. It's just that children in general are just under-developed socially. I must sound like the biggest hypocrite in the world for saying that but you can't deny that it's true. A child's personality goes only so far. Kids don't understand a deeper meaning of things and they could never do. Ethics and Philosophy is well beyond their understanding so for that reason I must say no. Nothing wrong with her but it's just not pliable enough for me. There isn't much I could do with it.

Spike

He's got alot of potential but again he just can't take anything serious enough. He just doesn't have that quality. It's not impossible to develop but I'd be just as stuck as with Apple Bloom. So basically everything I said about Apple Bloom you can just copy and paste to here.

Rarity

These are all great characters but I have to choose one. Of all the characters that are left I think Rarity is prolly the true girls character if you know what I mean. I don't think guys can see how pampering is really a sign of kindness. I think they see it as showing off but it's more than that. Pampering is a way of making somebody feel special and it's a nice feeling but men just don't get it. Men feel special when people complement their skills not when they have someone make things for them. It makes them feel cared about but it doesn't raise their personal sense of self esteem like it does with girls. For that reason and that reason alone I can't have her as my main character. I really like the character and I love the personality and understand it better than any other man I know but by instinct every time she talks it just grinds on me yano. To me she sounds arrogant and even though I can tell she's not I couldn't put her above some of my other favorites in the show. If she didn't just slightly irritate me every time she talks, maybe being a girl would help but I could put her right near the top if not for that little twinge inside me. It's instinct, I can't help it and I really want to like her, she is tied for top spot but I just can't do it OK.

Phew, that was tough.

Flutter Shy

Flutter Shy is sweet and all and well worthy of being in the top few but I don't see how the character has any kind of rounding yano. She's a bit of a cliche and that annoys me. It's not that they haven't tried to round her but even with her rounded personality I just keep getting the question "What does she do?". We know she like animals and all that but what really do we know of her skills. It doesn't seem like any kind of skill, more like an ability. It just looks like things happen to her rather than her causing them. Bare in mind this is before the babysitting episode so hopefully I'll have a different perspective by this Friday. She just seems to me to be reacting to what happens around her and not actually acting on anything. It could be because she's shy but even Twilight gets to bounce her influence back and forth through the group. In the episode where she stops the dragon it was like she was a piece of furniture they were dragging around or something. I know that was the whole point but when she took charge it was because she had to. She seems incapable of acting or taking part. I think she should have a more central role in the plot so we can see her make decisions on her own. So for that reason it's not her. Sorry Flutter Shy.

Twilight Sparkle

I get this character through and through. I understand everything about her clear as day. I can associate with every single action she makes. And that is the exact reason why I know she shouldn't be at the top. She is alot like me but that is not what I'm looking for. I like me and I like her but that only makes us neutral. I have no reason to dislike her in any way and if I made a fanfic I'd put her in it. But I would do that only because I could portray myself through her. I don't dislike her for any reason whatsoever but there is also nothing that really interests me about her either. I feel like I've just read a good book through from cover to cover with her. I enjoyed it but now I feel kinda empty because there is nothing more to read unless I read it all again and then it would be nowhere near the same because it would have lost its impact. It's that feeling of "well that was great, but what do i do now". I get her, i understand, i know exactly how she feels and where she's coming from but that also means there's nothing new, nothing interesting, nothing that gets my interest. Don't get me wrong, she's not a boring character and I'm sure other people would like her but she's just too close to home. Nothing really wows me about her but that's just the way I am. So Twilight is great and all but just not for me.

Now it gets real tough.
Apple Jack,

Rainbow Dash &
Pinkie Pie
are left and trust me this was not an easy decision at all. Each has there own qualities and there is nothing wrong with them and so much right with them. When I tried to pit their personalities against each other I found they were all equally good. And when I tried to put the character designs against each other they were on a par again. There is equally enough fanstuff to keep me going, I can do so much with the characters and they work so great with everyone. Their irritating qualities are what makes them unique and they are kept enough under control and enough freedom to express themselves equally well. Twilight was equal to them but just to close to me and I think Flutter Shy needs more development. Maybe if she cried it would show another side to her or something but these three are so damn close it was really fucking hard to chose. I ended up thinking of stupid reasons just for closure but every single point bounced off another. In the end it was a choice of personal taste because there is no quality about these I can fault nor any reason why any should have any sort of advantage over another so if my reasoning sounds stupid it's because it was really just that close in the end.

Pinkie Pie

Much as I have to say it she just lacks in character. Again there is nothing wrong with her character but if you needed a heart to heart discussion you just wouldn't ask Pinkie Pie would you. She has no power to come down to earth, even when it's important. Sometimes that doesn't matter. In fact most of the time that doesn't matter. However, I just cannot use this character in every possible circumstance. I feel that if I were to write a script I would have to consider whether Pinkie Pie could play that role. In other words, I would have to write a script around her not the other way around. So personally she's not for me.

Derpy

I know you are going to say that she is equal to Pinkie in what I just said but hear me out a moment. We don't know anything about Derpy. That means she could be anything we want. Rather than a PP copy she could be a whole character that just slips up every once in a while. From what I've seen of her she could be a fairly balanced character but she needs time to develop. I don't know what the writers have planned but a blank canvas sounds good enough for me. I personally don't get the impression of her being a cliche muffin loving derp face joke. I think she has potential as a lovable character that others could be loyal to but next to the other two up next I don't think any number of character development could match it so for that reason I think she'll always be second best. Sorry Derpy but you are just not there yet.

This is a really hard decision and I'm still reconsidering it now. So in this last section I'll explain both together. It's tough but I think I made the right decision in the end maybe, not so sure. Anyway, I'll try to go over it. If I can't decide I'll have to see what you guys think about it.

APPLE JACK vs RAINBOW DASH

Apple Jack

Pros:
Apple Jack has many good qualities. When she isn't obsessed with being the strong one and being in charge she has a caring encouraging side to her and she is humbled unlike Rainbow Dash. Although both characters are obsessed with being the best it's more a personal quest for Apple Jack. She doesn't need the attention she just wants to be strong for everyone else and prove to herself that she can do things. She's a very practical pony and not afraid of hard work or doing anything to get things done.

Cons:
Unlike Rainbow Dash she is more quick tempered. Rainbow has an attitude but never really gets that angry. Apple Jack however does get irritated by people especially if they are being unjust, selfish or prim. She's practical and she'll do what it takes to get things done but I think she would be reluctant to if it made somebody she hates look good.

Rainbow Dash

Pros:
She may get distracted and have an attitude but she really does care about her friends even if they are annoying her. I think the fact she stuck her tongue out at Apple Jack in the scene above is very telling. She has no ill will against AJ. For all her talk it's just show and if someone ever took deep offense at it she would be deeply upset. She probably is the most caring of all the character really beneath that bravado.

Cons:
Although she is very caring and she is always thinking of her friends I wouldn't be surprised if somehow the exact circumstances came along so that she would temporarily forget her friends and get distracted. She cares alot and the cons aren't in her heart more like in her head. I think that given the right situation would lead her to unintentionally forget her friends.

As the two of them go they are both 'real' in a sort of way and that's what makes us love them so much. It is nearly impossible for me to separate them and in any fanfic I would be seriously tempted to put them both in but the one thing and I mean the only one thing which just twinged the balance a mere millimeter was the character's design. And when I say the character design I mean visually and I mean from the perspective of drawing it.

THE RESULT

I don't know about you but Rainbow Dash just looks more interesting from a glance. I guess I'm judging it from its cover but trust me I've gone through everything else. Half the things I thought I haven't even typed here. If you said that you love this show and handed them a picture of a character I imagine Apple Jack would get a reaction like "That look's pretty cool" whereas Rainbow Dash would get a reaction like "Oh, that looks AWESOME". And so the result is Rainbow Dash. That does not make any other character any less worthy but for me Rainbow is the one thing that both me and a complete stranger that's new to the cause could agree on being the best choice.
